I studied Photography and Design at Harrogate College for four years and set up my business straight from college in 2001. I started off working for various press and magazine publications, so have much experience in PR and marketing photography. Over the years I have gained much experience as a wedding photographer and portrait photographer, and photographing people in a natural and candid way is my greatest passion in my work.
Over more recent years, property photography has become a big part of my work and I love working for local estate agents and holiday lets, capturing properties for sale or rent. I am very lucky indeed to do what I do - I am totally passionate and committed to my work, and my excellent reputation means everything to me.

Wedding photography is my greatest passion when it comes to my work! To be a part of a couple's special day is a huge privilege and I love every single wedding I do. My style is very relaxed and natural, and I help to make people feel at ease in front of the camera. Whilst I understand a certain amount of group shots are required for each wedding, I advise these do not take over the day.
Portrait photography is an amazing thing to do. From families on location to a new born baby in a studio set up, I love each portrait shoot I do! Capturing family members, loved ones, little ones, older ones, special occasions, happy times, these are such precious things and they need to be photographed so the memories can last forever.
My wedding package is charged from an hour before the ceremony up until the meal (see prices), however I am more than happy to stay on during the reception, until the first dance. This is a perfect way to end a set of wedding photographs, with images of the speeches, the dancing, and guests having a good time.
There is nothing more gorgeous than a new born baby! I am so passionate about baby photography, and I believe it is so important to capture such an amazing time. Babies change and grow so quickly, and these first photos are something that can be treasured for ever. I am happy to photograph any age of baby and child, and obviously the age determines the images produced.
I do the fantasy photography in the comfort of my own home. I set up a green screen and lights, and photograph children and babies in front of the plain backdrop. I have many different fantasy backdrops we can use, and I am also happy to source something which I may not have. I discuss with the parents before the shoot which image(s) they would like, so we can recreate the correct pose against the backdrop.

We wanted a photographer to take some family photos for a special occasion and I'm so glad that I asked Nikki.
She was able to come at short notice, she got back to me straight away and was always easy to get in touch with. She was helpful in recommending locations for the photos. She was on time and ready to go.
I'm absolutely amazed at what she achieved in an hour. She put everyone at ease, we moved from shot to shot seamlessly and everyone enjoyed the process (despite not everyone liking having their photo taken).
Nikki sent the photos over really quickly and they are absolutely gorgeous

Nikki took all the photos for our new One to One Recruitment website last year. The photos that she took as you can see, reflect us all as we really are; genuine, happy, relaxed and clearly enjoying the experience. Nikki is not only an expert photographer but has excellent people skills which means that everyone relaxes around her and for portrait and group shots this is essential. I would highly recommend Nikki for good value, perfectionism and an innate ability to capture the 'real you' in her photographs. Great personality too!

I knew Nikki was the photographer I wanted for our wedding as soon as we spoke for the first time. She seemed to know what it was I was wanting before I had even found the words explain it properly. Our wedding was planned in a short amount of time and we don't live in York so we had to do a lot via phone, Nikki was so professional
and friendly, we felt reassured we were in good hands.

I booked Nikki for a Personal Branding Shoot - it was time to move on from the traditional head and shoulders shots for work! I spent an hour with Nikki and she captured some great photos - she spent some time talking about what the images would be used for; and where, and then we walked and talked whilst she captured some great photos.
Her relaxed, chatty, approach put me at ease and this has really come across in the images. Thanks so much!

Nikki did our wedding photography and she made our day so special. We met a couple of times before hand to go through her services and then we were in contact via email right up to the day. She was professional, courteous and blended in without making anyone uneasy when having their photo taken. After the day, again in regular contact to make sure we were happy with the service she had given and she provided a perfect album of digital photos in a presentation gift box.
