We hold a varied number of solo and group exhibitions throughout the year in both gallery locations, and are committed to selecting new works of the highest quality to exhibit exclusively at Thompson's Galleries. Creating this show has been a long and lovely process. I was given a decent amount of time to do it which is a rare thing.
We enjoy a long tradition of buying and selling Modern and Contemporary British art. We hold monthly exhibitions across the year, featuring a varied selection of painting and sculpture from both established artists and emerging talent.

We carry works by notable artists that include Royal Academicians such as Ken Howard and Mary Fedden, BP Portrait Award nominees, Columbia Threadneedle prizewinners, Taylor Wessing Prize recipients, and Sky Arts Portrait Award winners.
Thompson's Gallery was established in 1982 in Aldeburgh, Suffolk by John and Sue Thompson. In 1991 they expanded with additional galleries in the Cotswolds and both the West End and City of London. In 2011, daughter Megan Thompson took a permanent role in the London Gallery originally situated on New Cavendish Street and now at Seymour Place, Marylebone.

An absolute must-visit for any art lover looking to either start or add to a collection. As someone very uneducated about art it was a pleasure to visit and be guided so expertly through the gallery. Will be returning and highly recommend.

We've bought two paintings through Thompson's now and every time they have been fantastic. They are so helpful and thoughtful in navigating what pieces to pick to ensure you end up with a picture you will love for life. Really exceptional customer service- they even advised on where to hang the paintings in our home.

I stayed in a hotel near by and came across this charming family run gallery who represent a beautiful selection of contemporary paintings. Visited and bought during the Matthew Alexander exhibition, I now look forward to the monthly updates.

Beautiful gallery tucked away in a quiet corner of London. We felt so at ease browsing the current exhibition by Matthew Alexander. A craftsman of oil paint and strong in traditional figurative English painting. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Mike & Lizzie Samson - mike@yorkstreetgallery
