Netherton Hall is a beautiful old Derbyshire hall built by the Buckston family as the principal residence of the tiny hamlet of Nether Bradbourne. The house and traditional buildings are Grade II listed dating back to 1684, as carved on the date stone on the front of the house, but are probably far older looking at the crook beams on the top floor and the original carved oak staircase.

Netherton Hall has 195 acres of beautiful grass land sweeping across and down into the valley with gorse and heather and wetland grasses down towards the streams. We have several different ages of ridge and furrow over the grassland divided by mature hedges and along with all the usual crew of horses, dogs and sheep we have a few very special inhabitants.
We have superb facilities for your horses and their welfare is our prime concern. We have built a very good reputation in the area for running a very professional but also very friendly yard, whether you are a competition rider or a pleasure rider. Most of our liveries here are all full liveries and we have horses for breaking, schooling and on holiday and rehabilitation livery.
We have a small number of horses who have come to Netherton to retire. They live in small herds of about 6 horses who stay out all year round together in large paddocks. We have around 200 acres of good grazing land to rotate them around. The large paddocks are ideal to give them plenty of space and good grazing and we find that they soon relax and are very content with this lifestyle.

We had a great time in the cottage. It had all the essentials, it was clean, the pool was just perfect and the location made it easy to get to lots of nearby attractions. Hosts were kind and approachable but not intrusive. We stayed with two young children and the place was just spot on for a young family like ours.

A great location with fantastic accommodation. We had three of the four cottages and had poor weather for May but the family re-union managed local walks/attractions in the mornings with the grandchildren enjoying the heated indoor swimming pool in the afternoons. Accommodation was very flexible with all of us eating in one of the cottages each meal. Tim and Vikki were most hospitable, both before in the planning stage and when we arrived. A great place and the family want to return next year! - praise indeed!! Rachel and Paul
