My path to Biodynamic Massage Therapy has been full of twists and turns; I bring with me a 12-year career in the corporate world, a 13-year career as a leadership and organisation development consultant and a 4-year period when I trained and worked as a Gestalt Psychotherapy trainee counsellor for Mind.

Like you, I am no stranger to what life brings! Central to everything for me is a deep appreciation of the human condition and the uniqueness of each person. An ongoing enquiry for me is our sense of empowerment and disempowerment in a society where we are at the same time more in control and much less in control.
Services
The Biodynamic way of working allows me to personalise a massage for you according to what you and your body need. The personalised massage usually involves one of a range of techniques or a combination from a range of nine techniques designed to invigorate, redistribute or calm. It is possible that different parts of your body require different techniques.
Biodynamic Massage Therapy is a holistic and personalised massage that addresses both body and mind. We use a range of nine techniques individually or in combination to provide what your body needs at any particular time. Each technique has a different objective, and can be applied at different depths and strength depending on what is needed.
Your gut reactions are listened to as part of your 'unconscious' or autonomous nervous system (ANS) feedback, primarily as guidance for me throughout the massage session. The massage touches on a lot of things about the way I am through the spots and areas that are contacted.' Biodynamic Massage Therapy was developed by a Norwegian, Gerda Boyesen, who was initially trained as a physiotherapist but later became a body psychotherapist.
Your first session with me will involve an initial 'check-in' for 10-15 minutes. We will have a personalised biodynamic massage for 35-40 minutes. After your massage, we will have a talk about it and see how the massage was for you. It is important for us to develop a good working relationship so that the massage is in-tune with you.
We all experience stress differently, yet an underlying common feeling is one of scraping by or just about keeping your head above water. By providing a calming, stilling and reassuring presence and conveying this through hands-on massage, your body and internal system will register this support and feel more able to let go.
