Services
Our Mobility Scooter cover is designed to meet the needs of those looking to insure their scooter against loss or damage and protect themselves against third-party liability claims. With no age limit, our policies are designed to protect mobility scooter users. Covering the basics such as accidental damage, third-party liability, and theft, as well as benefits you might not expect, like personal accident cover.
If you're a disabled driver or have disabled passengers, we hope you'll love our Adapted Vehicle Insurance & Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) Insurance. Further details are provided below. Did you know that until further notice, there is a legal requirement to carry a physical document known as a Green Card when driving in Europe?
If you have a disability, medical condition, or other issue that affects your mobility, you may be entitled to a blue badge. The blue badge scheme is aimed at people with severe mobility problems. A blue badge allows the holder to park as close as possible to their destination, minimising the distance between your vehicle and where you want to go.
Blue Badge Holders in the UK are eligible for certain parking concessions, but there are plenty of misunderstandings surrounding the scheme. Here at Fish Insurance we've dispelled the myths and given you the facts about who can use the badge, which restrictions apply and more. Some people think that only those people who use a wheelchair are eligible to hold a Blue Badge.
Our insurance covers both standard homes and those with adaptations to make life at home easier and more comfortable. Further details are provided below. Reimbursement of food delivery costs up to 250 if your wheelchair or mobility aid is unusable. Alternative accommodation cover costs and loss of rent receivable or payable up to 25,000, if your home cannot be lived in following damage.

Withoit a doubt there is room for improvement from their side. Some of them are good and some really lack compassion. I actually felt like I was on trial when I phoned them up in the week, and it was even worse when their claims dept rang me back. It was only a shattered window and one of them was asking me if it was this, was it that after running off some scenarios. When I told her on the phone it was none of them, her response was 'well I have to put something down from my list'. Well give me a better option and I'll answer your question.

They paid out for my scooter in Ableworld for a new shard.even though it wasn't I who got the old one scratched in the first place.it came back home from Ableworld from having been serviced by Ableworld day after I noticed the scratch.which they denied it.however I had to claim on my scooters fish insurance company to cover the cost of a new shard.which is good.so anyone else who gets a scooter I recommend them to fish insurance company.they are really good.

Was insured with them for years but I had one minor query this year. I was shocked by the rudeness of their replies! Not just one member of staff but two. They also repeatedly ignored by question, or just didn’t reply.
Absolutely appalling way to treat people, whether disabled or not. I would never ever insure through Fish again and have literally just switched to renew with a company that has far better recommendations!

My wife (my main carer) visited shops and filled up our Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle with unleaded instead of diesel.
Called fish breakdown who went above and beyond all expectations.
Being that the vehicle was stuck at the pump my wife was getting shouted at by a few Neanderthals who suggested she should push our VW caddy (on her own) out of the way despite other pumps being available!
The call handler at Fish dealt with my wife's call with compassion and understanding. He called her back on regular occasions to give updates but also just to check how she was doing. He realised my wife was

I have a similar experience to the review by Mark Sheene. This is my fourth year with Fish, the first two years were very reasonable at less than £240 with a slight reduction in the second year. I was super happy.
I had a small claim with no other party (less than £1600), but despite having protected no-claims the renewal for 2016 came up at £315, an increase of 33%.
For 2017 it has jumped to £526, an increase of another 66%, despite having moved to a rural area with no recorded crime and all our other car insurance policies being unchanged in price.
I called to query it and it immediately
