Our modern joinery evolved about 20 years ago with the aim of manufacturing high quality oak flooring and oak doors in line with the Yorkshire ethos of "top quality at a fair price" Machells still work with this as our guiding principle along with a strong belief that our customers should get exactly what they want even if it means that we have to strive that bit harder to achieve it.

Machells oak flooring is manufactured and finished here in Yorkshire available in either traditional solid or more versatile engineered boards, our range of colour variations profiles and surface textures are almost un-limited allowing you to create a timeless floor which is unique to you and your home.
Our original range consisted of just four different colour options but over the past twenty odd years we've added to our product family as we've developed colours and finishes that we think are good enough to be part of our classic line up. Our Rubio range is exceptionally versatile with an almost limitless palette of different colours to choose from we've selected a choice few that we think are our future classics.
Doors don't just have to be functional they can also be beautiful so we treat our doors like pieces of furniture from the initial timber selection through to the final polish we want to provide something that will be enjoyed and admired for many years to come.
Our external doors are all made to measure from either Oak or Sapele, we can manufacture doors to any shape or size required and we always encourage our customers to have input at the design stage so the end product is exactly what you want.

The owner of this beautiful traditional cottage in North Yorkshire has used our Period Oak flooring and Staircase panelling to create a stunning ha. This fantastic barn is right in the heart of "Emmerdale" country, the conversion makes the most of pairing the original structure with sympathetic.

From beginning to end Jaime and the team were amazing, they made my crazy disgustingly big front door dream a reality, and it couldn’t be more perfect. Every tiny detail is there, Jaime went out of his way to make sure the finished door was exactly how I described. It is absolutely beautiful. It helps massively also that I was invited down stage by stage to look at the door in its development, and update pictures continually being sent. Could not be more pleased. I have already recommended Machells to family and friends and will continue to do so. I will always ask for there help on any bespoke

We visited Machells Joinery during house renovations in the hope of picking up a timber beam. We got exactly what were looking for and the quality was superb, and more than excellent value. Whilst talking to the General Manager Jaime, he showed us a selection of engineered wood flooring. We already had some on order from an online source, but Machells quality was far superior for the same price. We ended up cancelling our online order and and went for Machells instead, who stored the flooring until we needed it, and delivered it promptly when we did. Our floor has now been laid and we are so pleased

Purchased medieval engineered oak flooring for our Grade 2 listed cottage. The living room and kitchen diner look absolutely superb. It has the 'wow' factor! Jaime and Tony provided an excellent service from providing samples to delivering the flooring as and when we were ready to lay it. In addition Machells also did the finishing polishing of our bespoke oak staircase - it looks fabulous.

The knowledge and service at Machells coupled with the quality of the wood flooring and engineered oak they produce is the best you can find. I completed a house project 8 years ago and it still looks like new and with two kids and an open plan living area it gets some hammer - testament to the great quality. Cheers guys for all your help - I was just admiring the floors and stairs and thought I'd say thank you.
