Based in the heart of the Cotswolds, McGills was established in 1966 and has proudly served the community of Cirencester, along with the surrounding areas of Gloucestershire and Wiltshire - and beyond, for 50 years. Great partnerships start here - we really want to meet with you, to demonstrate how we can help make a difference, so the first meeting is always on us.
At McGills, we support both private clients and businesses. Many are from Cirencester, Gloucestershire & Wiltshire but, as a result of our investment in remote access technology, we can access our client's computer systems and deal with their financial needs quickly wherever they are in the UK or even worldwide.
Formed in 1973 in Emsworth, Hampshire, Hunger Hydraulic UK (HUK) represents the Hunger Group companies throughout the UK, providing sales. Polydron and Educational Advantage are two innovative companies, both headed by Managing Director, Richard Hardstaff. Both businesses are based in. Agnito was set up by Thomas Jenkinson in 2004 to fill a niche in the market, supporting small and medium-sized.
Our three Partners, Simon Nuttall, Sharla Dandy and Helen Jones, are supported by a very friendly and talented team of accountants who specialise in tax, accounts, VAT and PAYE. We're a no nonsense, straight talking team who understand the pressures and opportunities of running a business and wanting to make the most of your money.
Simon joined the practice in 1992 having qualified with regional Bath firm Pearson May. 1992 was at the start of the computerisation of the practice and one of his first tasks was to oversea the move first to comprised accounts preparation and then tax return preparation.
At the time of joining the practice the firm had eight staff members and Simon set about a program of steady development of the practice by focusing on the key values required by clients.The years since 1992 have seen the practice acquire two further practices and grow from eight to twenty five staff and with the opening of the Malmesbury Office two offices.

I have dealt with McGills for nearly 10 years, whether its either Partner or any of their team, my query is either answered there and then or very promptly. When you deal with McGills you are made to feel like you are the only client that exists, almost like you have your own accountancy department within your small business, I have recommended somewhere in the region of 20 companies to use McGills even if they didn't have any issues with their existing Accountants!!! and the feedback I have always received from those companies was nothing but positive and in most cases a thank you for introducing
