Welcome to the home of Bellevue Veterinary Clinic based in the beautiful Somerset village of Trudoxhill on the border with Wiltshire. You'll find all the information you need about our practice here and hopefully a little more. Please sign up to our newsletter to stay in touch with the team and receive regular special offers and discounts.

At Bellevue we understand the importance of providing personalised care, so please take a look at our dedicated equine or small animals sections to learn more about our advanced surgical facilities and first-class care. You can rest assured that we're on hand 24/7 for emergencies. A Veterinary Surgeon is always on call outside of our usual opening hours should an emergency occur.
Services
Our practice was founded and is still operated by David Francis BVetMed BSc(hons) BVetMed MRCVS. David wanted to create a veterinary clinic that would provide the best possible care for horses and small animals using advanced treatment methods but with traditional values of personal customer service, professionalism, integrity and community spirit.
The Small Animals team at Bellevue Veterinary Clinic has made the choice to focus on pets, but that includes a wide range of creatures great and small! We treat dogs and cats, rabbits, ferrets and skunks, parrots and budgies not forgetting a variety of reptiles and small furries! Their skill, knowledge and, above all, passion for small animals really is second to none.
When David Francis set up the clinic it was important for him to be able to build a team of Veterinary Surgeons who would provide the widest range of treatment. In addition to our two full-time Equine Veterinary Surgeons, we also have a group of specialists who run regular clinics at the practice or are available when the need arises.
Our dedicated team of Veterinary Surgeons and nurses provide a range of services and treatments for all manner of small animals. We pride ourselves on having modern equipment and a comfortable recuperation area to ensure that your pet's treatment is as effective but also as comfortable as possible.
We provide a range of services to our equine clients to ensure that their horses are fit and healthy. Whether your horse is a companion or a competition horse, you can be assured of the highest and most sophisticated standards of care. Our team of Veterinary Surgeons is happy to provide treatment onsite or, if you prefer, at our clinic in Trudoxhill near Frome on the border of Somerset and Wiltshire.

First time for us at the vet practice. Having been recommended by several friends, i gave it a go. They did not disappoint. From the reception team to Dan the vet him self. My dog is a rescue and can become very nervous ,especially with covid and not being able to go in with her. Dan put us at ease 110%, he handled our dog with kindness and made sure everything was discussed at length. Dan answered questions and showed real empathy. Nothing seemed too much trouble . We have now totally moved to this practice.
Cant recomneded highly enough !
Thank you :).

Critical: Professionalism
A nasty incident happened with another dog who attacked our puppy leaving it traumatised. We didn't get an apology or any form of compensation - we are taking our business elsewhere.

I have used bellevue for my own dogs and I Always feel they care. I had an experience this weekend which confirmed this. I met some people in a holiday let, in the evening they came to see me because their greyhound was poorly. Unfortunately the greyhound didn't make it. They did say they were treated with compassion and care. So well done you, not unexpected though. Martin Tula is the dog you've seen most it is a positive that my dogs are never scared to go through your door, in fact they are keen to visit
