We are deverellsmith: a global recruitment firm who operate across the full property lifecycle and have been leading the charge since 2006. We work with small agencies to world-renowned businesses, from housing developers to property managers and investors. We support the evolution of hiring strategies and internal capability shaping the way real estate recruits, attracts, and retains talent.
The acquisition, disposal and management of property is complicated and lengthy and the accounting and finance recruitment team play a critical part in the process. We are unlike other accountancy recruiters, we focus purely on accountancy and finance jobs for the property industry, utilising our strong reputation and brand to attract the very best property accountants in the market.
Accounts assistants play a crucial role providing administrative support to the accounts team. Your working hours will tend to be 9 to 6 and you will report to the senior management within the accounts team. The typical duties within an accounts assistant job include filing, typing, managing petty cash, basic booking, credit control and ensuring debtors are paid in time.
Working in a client accountant job within the property industry, you are entrusted with your property clients' money and the regulatory obligation that entails. You will be expected to prepare statements, accounts and reports, examine and analyse risk, advise on tax and compliance, manage expenditure, credit payroll and investments.
Your responsibilities as a finance controller is to manage the accounting operations, mitigating risk, producing periodic financial reports and ensuring compliance. We tend to find the general scope within finance controller jobs really varies depending on the size of the property company you work for and the support you have from your accounts team.
