More than just a Golf Club! We are a friendly Club with members of all ages. We enjoy views of Lyme Park and further afield to the Peak District and the Cheshire Plain. A parkland course on the outskirts of Poynton, in a peaceful setting - no trains, no planes and no motorways - well maintained and offering a challenge whatever your handicap.

After your round you can relax in one of the 2 bars or on the sun terrace, overlooking the 18th and 14th greens, which are open to family, friends, social members and visitors. There is an excellent choice of food available served by our friendly catering staff.

Clubhouse Report

The Clubhouse is where you will find a friendly face, obtain really good food and drink and you can relax before or after your round. The TV is available to watch top class sport. Looking to hold a special event, party, or even a wedding? Please chat to Fraser Weston, our Clubhouse Manager and he will advise you on how you can take advantage of the the Club facilities and contacts to ensure you have the perfect event.

Ladies Golf Report

A warm welcome awaits you, whether just visiting, looking to start playing golf or transferring from another Club. We are a large, vibrant, active and supportive group of Ladies determined to enjoy all that the game of golf can offer and much more besides. With approximately 120 playing members we can offer a wide range of golfing opportunities for Ladies of all abilities.

Seniors Report

We have a very active and strong senior golf section at the club which is an important part of Davenport Golf Club. On Tuesday's and Thursday's, various groups have regular roll-ups starting at 8am and all members are very welcome to join any of these roll up's. They start early and go through until 11.00am.

Junior Section Report

The Juniors are coached by our resident Top Class Professional, Jamie Howarth along with assistance from other qualified coaches. The Junior Group Coaching sessions are open to all abilities, and non members are also welcome. Coaching sessions are held on Saturday's utilising our own Practice Facilities and Golf Course.

Club Video News Report

See the course from the air and in the background, you can see the fantastic area we are located in. The 2020 Captains, Sue Banfield and Stuart Law showed ingenuity to complete their Drive-in during the lock down. During the 2020 Lock Down Greens Chairman Mike Jones has been busy out on the course finding out what the Greens Staff have been up to.

Played in the mixed open today at Davenport GC the course was in great condition especially the greens , definitely will be going back for more opens in the future. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the young pro in the shop

This is a lovely course, challenging that is for sure but I is well maintained, all the staff are polite and friendly. The pricing of the course is fair for how well it is maintained. If you are looking for a challenge then I would certainly advise visiting Davenport Golf Club. I can say that I will be returning again in the future.

Great course, some tricky putting and need to think about shots rather than just use the big stick. Really enjoyed the golfing, but why do some members have to be so arsey? Didnt spoil the experience, but funny and sad at same time 🙂

Superb golf course. Beautiful true greens. You could easily leave the driver at home as its a course that demands you move the ball into position rather than just thrash it. The lasses in the clubhouse were superb and gave great service all day.

The course is by far the best in the area, immaculate condition. The course is challenging yet forgiving. The bar service and food was exceptional, I would highly recommend the chicken burger. I look forward to rejoining next year!

A lovely course and a good clubhouse. The all-day breakfast is great as well. The course is daunting with lots of blind shots. But have confidence and hit straight, and there is little to trap any but the longest hitter.

Was here for a function,the grounds are lovely and well maintained and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Function room was a good size and perfect for the event.
Can't comment on the course as I don't play golf,but it looked great. =)

Fabulous fast greens and the course is simply one of the best in Cheshire. Lovely staff and great food to finish your day at the 19th hole.
