Prestwich Golf Club, established in 1908, has traditionally been a parkland course set over a hilly terrain bordering Kersal Moor, the site of the Original Manchester Golf Club, the second oldest golf club constructed in England. It is situated just over 3 miles from the City Centre and very close to the M60radial motorway junctions.
Members and visitors who have medical or physical conditions which preclude the physical carrying of golf clubs are welcome to use their own buggy on the course. Prestwich Golf Club will not accept liability for any loss or damage to privately owned buggies or any other property arising from the negligence of the Club or any of its servants or agents.
The new World Handicap System (WHS) is designed to be more inclusive, accessible and to make golf easier to understand for all. The WHS incorporates the Rules of Handicapping and the Course Rating System, (a consistent method to calculate a golf courses difficulty), to successfully determine a golfer's Handicap Index.

Visited for the first time today for a friendly knock with my son. The guy in the pro shop (presumably the club pro. I didn't get his name) couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. A true gent.
The course, although not long, has it's challenges and some of the short, risk/reward par 4's really get you thinking.
The short par 3 16th was probably my favourite hole as the view from the elevated tee down to a green guarded by a pond to the right and green side bunker to the left to catch any overly cautious approaches is delightful.
All in all a quirky little golf course that I would definitely
