We are pleased to introduce you to our friendly residential care home, overlooking the beautiful North Devon coast. Pinehurst is long-established. We have been caring for older people in Ilfracombe for 30 years and have an excellent local reputation. We are a smaller care home with a homely, informal atmosphere, where our residents become part of the 'Pinehurst family' and get to know our carers well.

Our 21 comfortable en-suite bedrooms have lovely views to sea and countryside. We provide a safe environment with 24-hour care from trained, dedicated staff who support residents' individual needs and choices. All-inclusive weekly fees cover personal care as required, all meals, laundry and activities.

How We Care Report

Pinehurst Care Home, Ilfracombe is registered with CQC as a residential care home providing personal care. If necessary, carers assist with mobility, dressing, bathing, eating and personal hygiene. Our staff are also trained and experienced in caring for people with dementia, including Alzheimer's.

Our Staff Report

Caring is a vocation for our staff. They are people with a 'can-do' attitude who really do care about our residents. As well as qualifications and experience we look for kindness, empathy and cheerfulness when we recruit team members. Most have been with us for several years and built up strong friendships with residents and their families.

Respite Care Report

Sometimes people stay at Pinehurst on a short-term basis. Perhaps when they are convalescing after being in hospital, or so that their spouse, family or carer can go on holiday. They benefit from the same friendly, family atmosphere, 24-hour care and individual attention as our permanent residents.

Living With Us Report

At Pinehurst Care Home, Ilfracombe, we aim to offer the nearest experience to living in one's own home, but with all the needed care and attention. Every day, our carers help residents to enjoy life the way they want to. We encourage people to be as independent as they possibly can, and to keep up their hobbies and interests - whether it's meeting friends, listening to music, reading, knitting, painting, or gardening.

Our House Report

Pinehurst is a spacious Victorian house that has been extended over the years. Standing on the crest of a hill, on a pleasant residential road, it has beautiful views to the coast and countryside. It retains original features, like the wide staircase and colourful stained glass windows. Most areas are carpeted.
