K & A Cox Ltd is a family business, dating back to 1949. Started from a front room on Ray Street, Heanor by Kitch and Alice Cox, and continued by successive generations to the present day. Although sad to leave Ray Street after so many years the Langley Mill showroom offers off street parking, a larger workroom and bright display area.

Until then we are still able to make home visits for surveys, measures, and quotations, and all fittings. Here at Cox's Blinds and Curtains (or K & A Cox Ltd if using our formal title) our experienced team are happy to assist you in your choice of tailored blinds and curtains, from a simple roller blind to exquisite curtains.
Curtains or window dressings come in many shapes and styles. We can advise you on the best options, from poles with eyelet headings to bay tracks with the popular hand-pleat heading, or the latest: a contemporary wave heading. Made to measure curtains and Roman blinds are our speciality.
We offer a free home measure service covering Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire and the surrounding areas, where we can discuss your needs and bring samples to your home to match to existing furnishings.Or we can measure up and keep the details, so that when you pop into our showroom shop you can browse through our range of fabrics and discuss your requirements with the ladies, who will manufacture your curtains in our own workroom.

We will make an appointment with you either on the phone or in person in the showroom, during which we will ask you about what blinds you were thinking of. When our staff arrive, they will bring in samples for you to look at whilst they measure the window and discuss which blinds would be most suitable.
We can offer a range of bespoke shutters to suit most budgets and styles. We will pop out to discuss the best options for your style of window to help you create the look you are after. All our shutters are made to measure; this can take up to 10 weeks but we're sure you will agree: quality cannot be rushed.

We used K & A Cox when we moved into our new house to provide us with curtains and blinds. The house we moved into is a new build and we needed to get some privacy as it was still a building site and we felt a bit like living in a goldfish bowl!
