Our new top stylist Kirsty Scott recently topped up her skills with a week's Sassoon Academy training in London and absolutely loved it!
Kirsty will be available for Anna's clients while she's on maternity leave. All our stylists have professional industry qualifications and undertake continuous training from the moment they come to work with us. All colouring processes are managed by our director who is available for a free one to one consultation.

How you look and feel about your hair when you arrive, and when you leave our salon is very important to us. We will always take the time to listen to your ideas and give you an individual consultation. Each time you visit Gill Goddard Hair we want you to feel relaxed and happy in the hands of our true professionals.
They will advise you on a suitable style, based on your face shape, hair texture and lifestyle. After qualifying, our stylists attend the Sassoon Academy in London to gain the ABC diploma in cutting and styling. This training and the experience it provides extends our expertise, providing a sound framework from which we work effectively to meet customers requirements.
We believe that men's hair cutting and styling deserves the same care and attention as we give to women. Our staff are trained to cut contemporary styles as well as offering traditional barbering for those who prefer clippers and scissor-over-comb work. We'll offer you expert advice with a great coffee on the side!

After walking into Gill’s salon, not quite knowing what I needed, Gill and Molly discussed between them what colours would work with my existing colour and skin tone and mapped out a plan. After a few hours, I walked out with quite possibly the best hair colour I’ve ever had! This is from a lady who has traveled the world in search of a hairdresser that knows exactly what will work. Can’t fault Gill and her team. Thank you!!!

I have been going to Gill for several years now and have had several stylists, including Gill herself, Anna and...today ... Lainey. Without exception, I have been delighted with the results. They are a friendly team and I love their enthusiasm and great ideas if you fancy a change of style or colour. Today Lainey suggested I change from my usual straight bob to a curly style, making the most of the natural wave in my hair (which I usually consider a nuisance!) I really love it...and it should be so easy to maintain at home. Being a woman 'of a certain age' , it is refreshing that the staff here

I have used Gill Goddard hair salon for many years and have never had a bad experience! I love my visits here - the staff are friendly, professional and courteous ~ I’m always happy with my cut too. I have very short hair and it’s so easy to get it wrong, but they never have!
Following COVID lockdown they went the extra mile to ensure clients and staff were kept safe and have maintained their professional and happy environment, even through what must have been very difficult circumstances.

For many years husband and I have both been having our hair done at Gill Goddard Hair. My husband has his cut regularly, and, having many times in the past, had hairdressers not listen to what he wants, is delighted to find somewhere where they actually listen to what the client and for, and does it. I have had my hair both cut and coloured and have always been really happy with the results. I've recommended Gill to friends, and they are now regular customers too.

I love giving positive reviews so it doesn't come easy writing this but I have been advised by lots of local friends from Totnes to share my experience after all we want to be guided by our experience of a salon especially when you live in such a small town and the choices are limited. I had a very bad experience at Gill Goddard Salon with Anna earlier this year. I was absolutely horrified at the condition of my hair after two treatments. I have long hair and it was in top condition after lockdown. My hair went from strong and lustrous to weak and split after treatments. I literally couldn't get
