Chris Malkin Physiotherapy
We are a friendly, family run Physiotherapy practice, based on the Wirral since 2014. We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and are specialists in sport and exercise Physiotherapy. Our team of experienced specialists provide expertise in a variety of areas to meet your healthcare needs.

I attended Chris Malkin Physiotherapy 4 weeks after a Total Knee revision with very limited flexion and extensions. Chris identified the problems straight away and began an intensive rehabilitation programme. His understanding of my particular problem was excellent. 4 weeks later and I have made significant progress.
Services
Acupuncture is a branch of traditional medicine that has been practised in China and the far east for thousands of years. It has been developed, tested, researched and refined to give a detailed understanding of the body's energetic balance. Without the benefit of modern scientific equipment, the first acupuncturists discovered many now familiar aspects of biomedical science, such as the impact of emotional stress on the body.
Reflexology is a non-invasive natural therapy which dates back to around 2500 B.C.E. in Egypt and China. This practice is based on the method of applying pressure to specific areas of the feet or hands - which mirror different parts or organs of the body. Reflexology has been around for nearly 5000 years, and would have disappeared long ago if it was ineffective, in fact, medical trials are now proving its benefits.
The physiotherapy practice specialises in sports injuries, sports rehabilitation, return to sport and the prevention of injuries for elite and recreational athletes. The philosophy behind the practice is to identify the fundamental causes of an injury and recognising these as the key to its treatment and management.
High intensity strength and conditioning for elite and recreational athletes to optimise performance. Low impact sessions for gradual strength and fitness gains ideal for clients with joint pain. Injury prevention, core strengthening, event preparation and post event recovery sessions for all sports.
Continence Physiotherapy is a highly specialised physiotherapy and Pilates service for women's health and pelvic floor dysfunction including pregnancy, postnatal and gynaecological conditions on Wirral and surrounding areas.

Whether you are pregnant, a new Mum, recovering from or about to have gynaecological surgery, suffering from a perineal tear or episiotomy associated with labour, experiencing bladder or bowel problems, prolapse, painful intercourse or peri-menopausal symptoms, we can help to improve your health, fitness and wellbeing at any stage of your lifetime.

First off Chris is a lovely and friendly guy and I really enjoyed talking to him during my visits. However unfortunately, I was misdiagnosed by him as he jumped to the conclusion I need to work out a shrunken muscle to get it back to its normal size. It actually made things worse and in the end, another physio corrected the diagnosis as infact my tendon had completely torn off. Therefore a wasted experience for me.

I have visited Chris Malkin Physiotherapy in Heswall many times since he opened five years ago , with various injuries . Neck , two shoulders and currently a lower back problem .
Chris is friendly efficient and thorough , highly skilled and knowledgable.
I have recommended people to him , who have been very happy with the improvements he has made with them , as I am!
Wouldn’t consider using another physiotherapist!

Thanks Chris! After visiting with back pain that wouldn't go away ,and that had stopped me doing the water sports I love, 3 sessions got me back on the water. Unfortunately It couldn't improve my surfing ability! Back sailing, canoeing, surfing mountain biking and hiking. Thanks

Having had an operation to reattach my severed Achilles Tendon Chris Malkin helped me with physiotherapy. Five months after the operation my girlfriend and I were back Ballroom dancing and came 3rd in the Latin Supadance Competition. Without Chris I would never have made such a good recovery and now look forward to Blackpool Finals in December.
Thanks to both Chris and Sharon.
Regards Mark.
