The Lobster Pot is made up of two family-run seafood restaurants, in Nottingham and Beeston, founded by us, the Pongsawang family, after we moved from Bangkok, Thailand, to England in 1991. The first Lobster Pot was opened in Nottingham by Wat, my father, and initially served English seafood dishes.
Over time, we began to infuse the dishes with more Thai spices and flavours and the combinations were a hit. I took over The Lobster Pot Nottingham from my father in 2014, and later opened a second restaurant in the heart of Beeston 2 years later. The space used to be a Thai restaurant run by my Uncle, so the menu draws on our family history and boasts even more Thai inspired dishes.

Services
The Lobster Pot in Nottingham was the first seafood restaurant we opened. Located amongst the original food boulevard of the city, Mansfield Road, our family-run business of 15 years is a local favourite and offers seafood dishes both classic and contemporary. If you're after fresh and delicious seafood then we are the place for you!
We opened our second seafood restaurant in Beeston off the back of our success in the city-centre. You can find us in the heart of Beeston town, just a 2-minute walk off High Road, where the famous Beeston 'Bee' Man sits in stone. We are open Mon-Sat serving a huge variety of seafood dishes and Thai cuisine (and a mixture of both for those who are feeling something a bit different!).
Do you know a lobster lover? Treat them to a seafood extravaganza at our Beeston or Nottingham restaurants with Lobster Pot vouchers. Perfect as an anniversary, birthday, or 'just because' gift! Our vouchers come in 20's, so they're ideal for any budget. Designed with our trademark Lobster Pot branding, they're sure to bring a smile to someone who's mad about The Pot.

We had the most incredible meal. All of the seafood was so fresh and delicious. I had the oysters, they were really fresh, the homemade sauce that came with them was out of this world! Then the mussels in… chilli, every single one was open which showed the care that had been taken. We had some Thai crackers with peanut sauce for dipping which was delicious too. My husband had the chicken wings but didn’t fancy the red wine sauce so asked for the Thai chilli sauce instead which packed a punch, it was so flavourful. Then the lobster in garlic butter - wow! It was out of this world. We

Exquisite seafood with a Thai Twist that will be sure to seduce your tastebuds. The deep fried sea bream was crunchy on the outside yet flaky and succulent on the inside, all wrapped in a sweet and spicy sauce. The prawns were also drenched in a fine white wine and garlic base. Both phenomenal dishes. - LL/OC

The waiters were really friendly and nice. I told them that I was there to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and they offered him complimentary drinks– he got a bottle of beer (and a shot on the house)! Food was pretty good as well, with the waiters checking in on us periodically to make sure that all our needs were met throughout our dinner. Would definitely come back here to try out the other dishes on the menu, along with recommending them to others! Overall, my partner and I were most impressed by the excellent service! :)

Amazing food. Fantastic dining experience. Cannot recommend enough. Good portions, great specials (I tried the Monkfish and the Gapow king prawn is also pictured) House wine was smooth and high quality (Merlot). Pricing was right considering the high quality of the dishes. Scott was our main waiter and was super helpful, welcoming and friendly especially considering the pandemic situation. He even let us know about deals for our return and made genuine conversation. Can’t wait to make this my new regular spot! My partner said if there was a 6 star option, he’d rate it that😋 No complaints

Haven't been here for a while, but the food is still very good. I Had half a lobster in garlic butter for main course. Sesame prawn toast to start and sticky toffee pudding with cream to finish. My partner had grilled salmon with onion marmalade for main and chocolate fudge cake with ice cream to finish. We didn't have any drinks and the whole bill was around £56. Service was excellent and efficient. Nice to see that this restaurant is still going, even with Covid-19.
