Lady Dyson creates at least one themed carpet collection every year and receives commissions from all around the world - from individuals, designers and architects. Inspiration is discovered and never sought, as natural as it always has been for Deirdre. With her small professional team, Deirdre's concepts, sketches and paintings are developed in to beautifully hand-crafted carpets.
It is a fascinating blend of art and process, of ancient skill and new technology. Quality - colour matching over 5,000 different hues of pure Tibetan wool and pure silk. The skills of the makers - are everything. You can find a comprehensive selection of works that are an inspiration for any visitor at her contemporary London gallery and the recently opened second gallery in Saint-Germain-des-Prs, Paris.

Services
Using the finest, luxurious materials, Deirdre Dyson's award-winning carpets and rugs are either hand-knotted in Nepal by Tibetan experts, practiced in this ancient skill or gun tufted here in the UK. From her contemporary gallery space, located on the King's Road in London's Chelsea Design Quarter, Deirdre Dyson and her dedicated team offer a complete bespoke design service, for both commercial and residential projects.
Quality craftsmanship requires time. Our hand knotted carpets usually take 14 -16 weeks to weave, once artwork has been approved and signed off. From Deirdre's initial design ideas and sketches, through the skills of our weavers to our London team, we make sure that only the best materials and considerations are invested in creating modern, heirloom quality carpets for your home and interior space.
Please note: Any adaptations to materials or design may affect the sqm price to that shown. We would suggest going for the largest carpet size you can comfortably accommodate. The 'floating rug' look, where a small carpet sits in the middle of a large space, touching no furniture is best avoided. It will do nothing for your space, make little impact and will struggle to pull the room together.
On a recent trip to Harout Barin's Kings Road workshop, I was transfixed by the quality (and quantity) of antique and vintage carpets that abound, seemingly guarding the man, who continues to skillfully repair and restore them with much love, care and devotion. Harout Barin is a 4th generation carpet restorer of immense knowledge, making his services highly sought after, in a field of work that has become a rare and specialized trade.
Our modern gallery, designed by celebrated architect Tim Hatton, is located in the heart of the Chelsea Design Quarter at 554 King's Road. A wide selection of carpets are on display and our team will guide and advise you on the bespoke service we offer. To see a selection of designs and to experience the modern quality carpets that is Deirdre Dyson, designs can also be viewed at our showcase gallery in central Paris, by appointment only.

I bought my first rug in 2017 "Bull rushes", it is a beautiful rug and much admired by visitors to my home. I am now working with them once again to commission another rug for my dining room and dealing with Edison, Sonia and the team has been a great experience. They are so very patient and have a wonderful understanding of colour, texture and assist the client in a non fuss, practical and understanding way. I would have no hesitation to recommend them for those considering a commission or even to visit the showrooms and chose one of the rugs available for sale.
