Greens Furnishings is a family run soft furnishings, carpet and flooring business based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. The business was established in 1973, by Richard's father. It was originally called "Kirklees Karpets" as the local council was newly named around the same time. Despite this, the shop is nothing to do with the council.
The name was changed to "Kirklees Carpets and Curtains" in the 1980's, as curtains were a large part of the business even 25 to 30 years ago. Subsequently, the name was changed to "Greens Furnishings", in 2005, to reflect the wider range of products we supply, like blinds, cushions, flooring, curtain rails and poles.

Green's Furnishings is a soft furnishing, carpet and flooring shop located in the village of Kirkheaton on the outskirts of Huddersfield. Established in 1973, we are a family business that aims to provide a wide range of furnishing products with quality service at competitive prices. We have a large selection of curtains, blinds, fabrics, curtain poles, carpets, underlay and all types of flooring to choose from.
We supply fabrics from the following suppliers: Belfield Furnishings, Harlequin, Sanderson, Blendworth, Ross Fabrics, Chess Designs, Bill Beaumont, H & S Fabrics, Morris & Co, Villa Nova, Prestigious Textiles, James Hare, Romo. At Greens Furnishings we pride ourselves on the quality of our products and workmanship.
We supply and fit both bay window curtain poles and tracks. Many bays are not suitable or practical for curtain poles, whereas there is almost always a solution with a bay curtain track. A track is simpler and tends to blend in more with its surroundings, but you make more of a feature by using a pole.
Our range of carpets provide an unrivalled choice of colour, design and texture. We are a member of a national buying group of independent retailers, thus enabling us to offer exceptional quality carpets at competitive low prices.

Curtains beautifully made and finished off, just had to hang them, gathered up and hooks attached. All members of staff were brilliant, none of them could have been more helpful. I arranged to collect the curtains but got stuck in traffic and knew I was going to be late and they would be closed. The person I spoke to on the phone said he would wait till I got there which was after 5.00pm. They are a really good well established company. We have used them in the past and parents before us. Can highly recommend. Thank you Greens.

Very impressed with our visit. We were looking for vertical blinds and curtains. Helpful and friendly service without any pressure to buy. Showroom has a comprehensive range of both blinds and curtains as well as carpets and other flooring.We left with samples and at our request we made an appointment for a home visit to measure up and give us a quote. They also provide a fitting service. We believe that this is one of the best places to go in the area if you are looking for curtains, blinds, carpets, etc.
