Services
Sharratts Solicitors Ltd was formed in the Black Country and has been assisting families locally (and nationally) for almost two decades. We offer specialist service in the complex and emotive area of Family Law. Our staff are highly skilled and passionate about the service they can provide. We deliver a professional but personal service to anyone facing family breakdown or family dilemma or change.
Sometimes relationships break down or experience changes that can be overwhelming. Let us guide you through the changes and help you and your family find workable solutions. We have listed a few of the relationship services that we offer but if you cannot find what you are looking for just contact us to discuss.
Our children are precious and when our family unit experiences changes of any kind our first worry is often in relation to our children. We can offer guidance as to the living arrangements for your children and the financial arrangements for them into the future. Many issues arise about our children and each case is individual, we have addressed a few of the potential situations below.
The state has a duty to help all families in need and this can take many forms. Some are designed to be supportive short term help and others are more intrusive forms of intervention into your family life for the protection of your child or children.
Whatever the level of intervention it is always worth seeking independent legal advice to ensure that your family gets all the help that it is entitled to but also to ensure that the intervention does not breach your right to respect for family life.Early help is designed to support and assist the family and to avoid any formal intervention in family life, it is important to know the role of social services and be clear about what you can expect.

Legal Aid was once widely available to those with limited financial means who were facing family law court proceedings. Sadly, this is no longer the case. Legal Aid is only available in certain types of proceedings now and even then you must satisfy a merits and a means test. The merit test - does my case have sufficient merit?

Jane represented me yesterday in court, ive always previously represented myself. How I wish now that I would have used Jane in previous hearings, she was professional, to the point and informative, all throughout, her communication with me has been great, I'm really happy with the service she has provided. Thank you Jane

Sharratts took very good care of me to be honest and although the legal aid was a nightmare, i was dealt with well afterwards. Alisha was always honest, reassuring and supportive. She got me two great barristers who really looked after me. Regardless of the fact my case was unsuccessful i did feel that not everything we said we would say was put forward to the judge (ie the judge was always bias and it shows in her judgement) but it was probably pointless anyway cause he just wasnt interested in anything wr had to say. My team fought very well for me and my children and i will be forever greatful
