We acquired Tom Thumb Boutique in 2010, after deciding that we would like to run our own business. At that time, the shop had been trading as a ladies clothes shop for at least 40 years and had a good following, so we knew that the risk we were taking was minimal. Since we took over the premises we have made one or two changes to the brands and products sold, mainly to extend the appeal of the shop to all ages and budgets.
