Since 1981 Michael has worked with M & J Ballantyne during school holidays and after 3 years studying at Napier University, joined the Company full time in 1990.

He was appointed a Director in 1992 and subsequently Managing Director in 2003. Michael is involved in all aspects of the future planning and the day to day operation of the business and ensures a frequent personal presence on site to oversee all contracts and private house building during the build process.
