Lessons Cancellation Policy: 48 hours notice is required to cancel a driving lesson without penalty. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will be charged for the cost of a full driving lesson at the regular rate of 24.00. Appointment no-shows will be charged for the full 2 hour lesson at the regular rate of 24.00.

Services
Among other benefits, our driving instructors will pick you up and drop off at a location of your choice in or around Newcastle upon Tyne. We understand its difficult for learners to reach at designated driving schools, hence we offer this facility to make sure our learners are looked after throughout the process of learning to drive.
Our Defensive Driving Training Course is designed for a wide audience including young drivers, teenage drivers and even for adults. Like any form of learning, Defensive Driving Training is for everyone who takes safety on the road very seriously. Driving can be very risky depending on the environment you're driving, potential hazards where you're driving, and negligence from other drivers on the road.
Have had a bitter experience of failing a driving practical test, ever wondered if you're never going to be able to pass the driving test as the examiners are being too harsh or examiners just keep failing you because it's easier for them to do so. The fact is examiner's life is lot easier if they pass you, they don't have to complete as much paperwork.
You can be fined up to 1,000 and get 3 to 6 penalty points on your provisional licence if you drive without the right supervision. I paid £210 for 10 hours of lesson, believing that i will get actual knowledge but instead I just got a old angry man, who was nothing but disrespecful to me, constantly screaming at my mistakes rather than correcting me.
In one occassion, he even slapped me across the leg for not clutching down.
Along side this, he prioritises other drivers, only giving me one lesson per week and even postponing lessons for weeks on end, making me forget everything I learnt the previous lesson.
I highly dont reccomend NorthStar school of driving.

Very disgusting behaviour. Loud, not patient. He seemed angry and shouting at me and asked me a lot with “why” why you do this, why you turn, why you look and check the mirror like that (I looked longer) and so many questions with “ why”because I am a learner I haven’t know how to drive that why I don’t know hair to drive.
He a manual instructor but he told me should get automatically so if I he advise that so who rent him in the future. Stupid man !

I had a wonderful time with North Star School of driving. The instructor was firm, but fair with me, taking time to help correct my mistakes. He was able to fit lessons around my busy schedule, which I was very grateful for. He has a brilliant knowledge of all the test routes and makes you feel well prepared for the test. Overall was a very positive experience!

I am so glad I've taken lessons with NorthStar! I passed my driving test with two minors only thanks to the good piece of advice that my instructor provided me with during all the lessons. I am now so confident behind the wheel. And I know that, not only did I pass the test, but also I am a safe driver because of the time spent, the hard work and the teaching from NorthStar School of Driving. Although he was severe sometimes, it actually paid off.

I am very glad I took lessons with North Star having just passed my driving test. He was always firm but fair with me and challenged me. He cares a lot and not only wants to make you pass, but makes sure you are an excellent competent driver. He really cares and wants you to do the best you can. He was always patient with me, and I am thankful for this. Thanks for all your help
