Andrew Brown has been very professional and thoughtful throughout in organising my late mother's cremation. My family have used Lymn's funeral services for many years as long as I can remember and have always been extremely professional every time. He was also extremely helpful and thoughtful.

A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service are here to help you when you need us most, by providing a high standard of service and care, ensuring we are there for the families we serve through every step of the funeral process. We are available to discuss your own personal requirements 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through our network of 27 Offices serving Nottinghamshire and South Derbyshire.
Services
Once you have purchased your A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service Plan from us your money will be managed and administered by Ecclesiastical Planning Services which is part of the Ecclesiastical Insurance Group, a specialist, UK-based Financial Services Group, which has been protecting people, property and funds since 1887.
A.W.Lymn Ltd, is a well known name and has long been associated with Nottingham's inner city. Our headquarters is still located in Sneinton just a few hundred yards from Goosegate, where our founders, Arthur William Lymn and his son Harold Percy, traded as furniture makers and dealers at the turn of the nineteenth century.
The first steps to be taken when a death occurs are often the hardest for people to make. At A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service we have experienced local staff on call at all times to answer the telephone personally, to attend to moving a deceased person from the place at which they have died, and a qualified funeral director available at all times to deal with any questions, or to begin making the necessary funeral arrangements when required.
We can arrange for the person who has died to be brought home or to be taken into our care and are on hand to provide support and help throughout this difficult time. We are contactable at any time of the day or night, everyday of the year, when our experienced staff will be on-hand to support and assist you.
There is a move to make it compulsory to opt out of organ donation, rather than following the current practice of having to opt in by carrying a donor card. The move is because of the shortage of donors and because of the difficulty many health professionals experience in asking for permission when relatives may be in a state of extreme shock, perhaps after a traffic accident, or after turning off a life-support machine.
