Lyme Bay Holidays are an independent, family owned agency established locally for over 40 years. Specialising in the area surrounding Lyme Regis on the Dorset and Devon border we cover much of the World Heritage Coast as well as some stunning countryside and attractive market towns & villages. We only offer handpicked cottages, houses and apartments all of which are independently inspected for quality assurance.
Dubbed 'The Pearl of Dorset' for good reason, this impossibly pretty town tumbles down to a promenade of multi-coloured Georgian houses overlooking the turquoise arc of Lyme Bay. Sweeping out to sea is the 13th Century Cobb harbour wall, which took on iconic status for its starring role in The French Lieutenant's Woman.
A 30-minute stroll along the River Lym from Lyme Regis, Uplyme is the perfect place to take a step back from the seaside and immerse yourself in traditional West Country village life.
While the attractions of its bigger, better-known neighbour are at your fingertips, Uplyme is a destination in its own right: Relax and tuck into local produce and ales at the characterful country inn, amble from the church and playing field to the historic Cannington Viaduct and don't miss the buzz of the summer fair.

This wonderfully lively market town is surrounded by coast and countryside and offers visitors the best of both worlds. Almost as an annex to Bridport, West Bay has a delightful small harbour for pleasure boats and fishing boats, surrounded by restaurants, pubs, shops and bars. Being a Beacon Town for promoting the finest of local food and produce Bridport hosts several types of markets throughout each month.
Situated at the base of Hardown Hill this little village is best know for being the enviable location of Moore's Biscuit Bakery. Come face-to-face with the underwater world without even dipping a toe in the water. At this interactive attraction you can get close up to local marine life from mullet to starfish, and delve into Lyme's maritime history.

Critical: Professionalism
Unfortunately I paid upfront in full £608, the day of travel I woke with a temperature and had to cancel. I also tested positive for Covid. It appears they will not refund or even partial or a credit so we can return when we'll. Most responsible businesses would sympathise and be more helpful knowing the cermstances

Stayed at Greystones in Lyme Regis, a couple of minutes from the town, halfway up a hill, which wasn't a problem. Great house, very roomy, lovely views, everything provided. We had an issue with a shower, which was dealt with very quickly, after a call to the office. I would definitely stay there again, or any other of their properties.
Adequate parking at the rear, for both the flat and the house, but be aware, we had an issue with a local resident using it too, which did then cause a problem for both properties!! Park strategically.

My family summer holiday was cancelled at the last minute. Since they didn't own the property (they are just letting agents), they just said that it was the landlord's problem not theirs. I received no refund so I'm having to take them to court to get a refund and compensation. Note that they are not members of ABTA, so this could happen to you too if you book through them.
