Could not book on the app, family member tried on laptop and eventually got through to them on phone. Waited at airport for an hour and a half.Unreliable service through app so definately prebook if you can. I will definately take my own car and pay extra for parking at airport to save me the inconvenience. Very disappointed as a new customer 😒

But one of the drivers overcharged me last night …either by mistake or god knows. Charged me over GBP90 instead of GBP9!! Be careful when paying by card on the app and always ask how much the fare was and how much your card was charged for. Writing to customer service now to rectify it.

My son left his wallet in the taxi last night and reported it to the call handler within two minutes. After initially being told the driver didn’t have the wallet, he was then told that they did and would return it within a short time. It was not returned and the company has been evasive since.
UPDATE: Chloe in the office was very helpful in resolving this after I phoned this afternoon. The driver and call handler last night were not helpful though.

I'm on vacation in Belfast. My plan was to take Uber, since it's supposedly available. However, Uber service has been inconsistent at best - there aren't drivers available when I need them. Fona Cab to the rescue! Every time I've needed a taxi, I've been able to order one very easily straight from the Fona Cab app. I really like that the app can find my location, since I'm not from around here I don't always know where I am. A car has always been able to get to me in just a minute or two, and every driver has been pleasant and safe.

I use Fonacab quite regularly as I work in the east and my company has an account with them.
They are always really prompt in collecting me and any drivers I've had have been really friendly and personable.
Prices are fair, and if you download their app, you can pay by card via that which is really convenient!

Used them for the first time last night, and they where quick, car was clean, driver was friendly and although they slightly more expensive than my local companies they didn't let down in service. Got a text to say car was close by and what colour and make of car which is good service! The desk staff where polite and quick to answer overall very satisfied with the service!

'90 and six threes' is there tag line and I find I always remember it when I'm steaming on a Saturday night out in Belfast.
I have decided recently to stick to only one taxi company having had a few bad experiences with other companies. You cannot flag down a Fona Cab in the street which although annoying at three am it is also a really good thing as it means all the cabs are licensed and someone knows where they are at all times - this is not the case with all the taxi firms in Belfast.
I also like this firm as the drivers chat in a nice way to you and make an effort to see if

I do find that I end up sticking with one taxi provider when the service is of a high standard, and I've been using Fona Cab since moving to city six or so years ago.
Fona Cab is one of the largest (I think it's only second in size to Valu Cabs) taxi firms in the city and operates a huge fleet of mini cabs. The advantage I find is they are exceptionally punctual and due to the huge fleet they have on the roads you generally won't have to spend much time waiting around.
They also do a callback service (which from time to time is offline) which alerts you by phone to let you know

As a student on numerous nights out, I have experienced too many taxi journeys than I can care to remember, or even try if i could!
But i can say that without doubt Fona Cab are a highly professional and effective taxi firm.They have drivers located all around the city so you are never more than two minutes away from an impromptu pickup
The depot always gives you an estimated pick up time and clarifies where they want to pick you up, and they will also ring you if there are any delays or if they cannot find you( whether that is because they cant find you, or if you have wandered away from an

They're easily the best choice if you're going out of your own area, since local taxi firms try not to stray too far, and Fonacab are more than happy to drive you anywhere.
They're more expensive than a smaller firm will be, but not by too much, and with all cars having satnav, you don't even have to direct the drivers everywhere, so you can just drift off into space, or have a chat with the driver.

Fona Cabs are one of two large taxi companies that cover all of Belfast. Most smaller firms will just cover their local area and will react like you've just kidnapped their families and threw them down a well if you ask them to go any further.
The good thing about Fona Cab is that they are happy to take you anywhere, from anywhere. From many a random conversation with their drivers, I've learnt that they use a completely different system to the smaller firms. They use a GPS tracking system which sends the closest driver in your locality straight to your door.
