Our kitchen team create menus throughout the year with thoughtfully sourced seasonal ingredients. All our dishes are freshly prepared and cooked to order in our open kitchen. All our meat is British and comes from Joseph Morris butchers, with all our steaks 28-day dry-aged for the most succulent flavour.

Full time staff will be expected to work on a shift basis, part time hours can be flexible. We are closed Sunday Evening and all day on Monday you also receive another day off per week.
The Whyte Melville is located in Boughton, a village about 4 miles from Northampton town centre, along the A508 road between Northampton and Market Harborough. We are on the main road through Boughton, next to the Church with a large car park to the rear. Thought I'd give the steak a second try here our friends both had steak previously and had trouble cutting it did mention it to the waitress 🤷🏻♀️ but to no avail! I had a very over priced 'open' steak sandwich I presume it was called such as the top of the bread was missing 🤔 once again the steak wasn't of any great quality 🙄 as it was already… thinly sliced I shouldn't have had trouble cutting it ! £1 charge for soda water 😳 As we hadn't seen each other for some time the food was actually irrelevant so we didn't complain.

Utterly faultless service! Very friendly welcoming staff...nice place to be inside.
Had the smoked duck starter, and roast lamb main.
The 'slaw' with the duck I felt needed a little love. Pickling the carrots for example. Found I preferred the sauce dotted around the plate rather than the dip. Overall it was pleasant, and I would order it again.
Lamb main was tasty! I personally would have liked a little more lamb....but thats me being greedy :)
The yorky puds were amazingly huge and very crispy. Fantastic effort!
Only one minor fail was an intense taste of cloves on the carrots. I personally

Pub is lovely, cosy and well decorated. Staff are all friendly and attentive. We had the roast beef Sunday lunch, not great for £18. Portion size is very small with 2 small slices of beef and 2 roast potatoes. Adding an oversized Yorkshire which costs penny's doesn't make up for the rest of the meals shortcomings. Also the gravy needs to be served in bigger gravy boats to avoid having to constantly ask for more.

We will never return. Service is ridiculous. Pushy and rude.
First time we ever went two years ago. Friendly and good food. Since then I’ve recommended the place and had each person say the same. Terrible customer service which i believe is the owner.
Luckily went elsewhere for a lovely experience.

Food was lovely. Without the amazing chefs the the place would be nothing. The male owner however ever is a first class pompous and pretentious idiot. 3 meals served to our table and then asked if anything was missing?! Blamed it on us that he forgot to give the chefs one of our orders (we were a table of 3 adults, 1 child and arrived 20 minutes… after opening) then lied that it was seconds away from being served, we could hear him shouting at the chefs to start cooking it, then he added an extra meal (£18) onto our bill making it 5 main meals for a table of 4! Not once did we have

Lovely food but don't go too late on a Sunday! The kitchen closes at 4pm and we booked for 3.30pm. We watched lots of amazing plates of Sunday roast go out with huge home made Yorkshire puddings but when ours… came it had Aunt Bessies on. This is the second time this has happened to us. The roast potatoes were deep fried! It's a lovely pub with really great food but if you're going to offer traditional Sunday roast with homemade Yorkshires and goose fat roasted potatoes, please do enough for the whole service.
