It is important that the design process considers all aspects of the built environment including material selection, construction system/method and orientation on the site. We endeavour to advise our clients of the most sustainable approach to design from an early stage.
The location of the site can dictate the proposed design, creating a layout that is user friendly, incorporating solar gain and privacy with an emphasis on reducing energy loss from the building fabric.We encourage the use of renewable energy systems, ie, solar water heating, photovoltaic's, ground source heat pumps, wind turbines, wood pellet/ chip boilers, bore hole systems, rainwater harvesting and reed bed sewage systems.
