Since our current Chairman (Mr James Sim) started the construction company in 1957, the group has built an enviable reputation for quality, traditional values and fair play with sub-contractors and suppliers throughout Scotland.

Sim Building Group Report

Our origins date back to 1957 when James Sim, a Civil Engineer, formed a construction company. Acting as a Principal Contractor we carry out projects of a varied nature ranging from minor works to individual contracts of up to 5M in value. Over the years there has been diversification into housing development, structural steelwork, cladding and car parking systems together with design and build projects.

Memberships Report

This important organisation is used by many Local Authorities, Hospital Trusts, Utilities Companies and many others to procure Constructionline pre-vetted building contractors for tendering purposes. This group operates within the confines of the Construction Industry Training Board. The contractor group members assess their joint needs for training and procure courses to meet their needs.
