The Faucheldean Wind Trio is an established ensemble of professional musicians, performing on flute, clarinet and bassoon. Possibly the only group of its kind in the country, the trio specialises in background music that is ideal for weddings, anniversary/birthday events and corporate functions. The trio's extensive, 'easy-listening' repertoire has been chosen to appeal to almost all ages and musical tastes.
Many of the items have been arranged specifically to take advantage of the charm and character of the three instruments. Now based in Crieff, most of the players' engagements are in central Scotland. However, they are also willing to consider bookings that are further afield. The members of the group are experienced, reliable, approachable and committed to tailoring their performance to meet the requirements of your event.

Services
Some couples request a special tune which has romantic associations for them. We will always do our best to create a suitable arrangement but it is not always possible to capture the character of the original melody effectively using just the three instruments. If the trio have already played for your ceremony, we can move within the venue to perform during the drinks reception, photographs, etc.
Live background music can add enormously to the atmosphere of an event - giving a sense of occasion or helping to create an appropriate ambiance. However, it is important that the band is not so loud that it inhibits conversation. The object is to encourage people to linger, find out about the organisation or make deals and purchases.
We have well in excess of 200 items in regular use, so only a few examples are listed in each category. If you have a particular favourite you would like us to play, please contact us to discover whether we have it available. If not, we may be able to make an arrangement of it for your event. Certain of our own arrangements can be purchased in sheet music form.
