ECB Water Solutions provide specialist Legionella risk assessments across a range of clients in both commercial and public sector to identify, eradicate and control any instances of Legionnaires Disease to ensure ACoP L8 compliance.

In the UK the Health and Safety Executive's Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) and Guidance document titled "Legionnaires' disease: The control of legionella bacteria in water systems" (L8) gives practical advice on how to comply with UK health and safety law with respect to the control of Legionella bacteria. This Code is important in that it has a special legal status.
It is a requirement that water systems are kept clean and disinfected as indicated by your risk assessment and routine monitoring. ECB provide both short and long-term service contracts to ensure your water systems are compliant. Get in touch today and start with a Risk Assessment Survey to find out how you can get compliant.
Following the undertaking of the Legionella risk assessment, the duty holder and responsible person must implement the significant findings of the report and establish a procedure to ensure that the water systems are maintained safe in the future.

A water management policy, plan and procedure document is designed to help your organisation set clear goals for water management, document clearly how you intend to achieve these aims and to document and track the undertaking of remedial actions and on-going monitoring tasks to ensure your systems remain safe.
Water sample analysis is the process of testing water for various bacteria and pollutants including Legionella, microbiological and Pseudomonas. WHO NEEDS TO CONDUCT WATER SAMPLE ANALYSIS? All organisations need to ensure that their water systems are safe. Those who operate hot and cold water systems, cooling towers and evaporative condensers, spa baths, swimming pools and closed loop water systems should be particularly vigilant.
