Ian Cowie (Managing Director) left school at the age of 16, where he began his Plumbing and Heating career as an apprentice at Peter Reids of Buckie. He then went on to work with Spencer Lyon, No.1 Building Services and Aberdeen Mechanical Services (part of the No.1 group) before joining T.Clark Scotland, one of the largest building services companies in the UK.
The company has gone from strength to strength, increasing its workforce from year to year. The majority of the workforce all started their plumbing & heating careers at Peter Reids and between them have over 100 years experience in the trade! In 2017 we opened a substantial bathroom and heating showroom which has just been extended at the end of 2019.

Hot water is delivered at mains pressure, which means that you could get a powerful shower without the need of a separate pump. Simple to use control panel which provides information on the boiler operation and allows the temperature of the water in the radiators and the hot water temperature to be easily adjusted.

Thistle helped design and install a new shower room to replace a very old and tired bathroom. From the 1st enquiry through to installation they were 1st class and highly professional. The tradesmen surveyor office staff were all really amazing. Cannot fault any part of the process. The value for money we felt was fantastic as were all fixtures fittings. Most of all however the process was as per the quoted timescale with no hiccups. Truly 5 star service !!
