Little Wellingtons Pre-school
At Little Wellingtons Pre-School the aim of all staff is to ensure that all children feel included, secure and valued. We monitor the progress of children throughout their time at the setting.

We observe children to identify their strength and support them in all areas of learning, by following a key worker system that enables staff to identify the needs of each individual child and plan activities to enhance and enrich their learning opportunities. We aim to build positive relationships with parents and children and provide a friendly and welcoming environment that shows respect for all.
Services
Fees are payable monthly, in advance. Fees must still be paid if children are absent without notice for a short period of time. If your child has to be absent over a long period of time, talk to Stella, the manager. For your child to keep her/his place at the pre-school, you must pay the fees or we must receive nursery education funding for your child.
Little Wellingtons pre-school is open during term time. We are open for 38 weeks a year and within that are required to have 3 inset days throughout the year. A list of holiday dates is available as children are required to attend throughout the year during the term Absences are monitored and the school policy for holidays and notification of absence needs to be adhered to.
This setting encourages the children to feel comfortable in their surroundings by being able to choose their own activity. This enables them to access the environment by providing clearly labelled boxes on open cupboards and trollies.

Each learning area will have open basics of resources for numeracy, creative, small world and graphics to ensure children can access a range of tactile activities to support and encourage their co-ordination and development.
Little Wellingtons is very fortunate to have an amazing outdoor area with a safe and secure garden that is surfaced with artificial grass to provide a clean, safe and natural outdoor area which is an enclosed garden that is set back for children not to be visible from the roadside so therefore very secluded to allow children freedom to explore within a safe environment.
The pre-school will encourage your child to develop confidence and function in a group beyond the family. The focus will be for children to work, play, cooperate with others and function in a group. This will encourage development of personal, social, moral and spiritual aspects in children and an understanding of self and others.

My son has been attending this pre school for the last 2 year's and he has thrived since he been there! This speech has grown amencly he is very happy to go to school and always very happy when I pick him up, I had troubles with potty training and without the help of the staff at little Wellingtons I wouldn't of been so easy! They're was a recent Ofsted report with a poor rating which I though what's a bit unfair anyhow I've seem them work on this very very hard to make the school a happy and healthy environment for everyone there, all the staff have always been so amazing with my boy and he loves

My daughter Daniella attended this nursery for almost 2 years and she absolutely loved her time here, the teachers were amazing they offer a personal yet professional approach to the way in which they conduct there everyday learning, It’s so difficult to find somewhere you can confidently leave your child and know they are in such good hands, from the first day she attended she wanted to go every day, what was key for me was that at such a vulnerable age I wanted my child to be cared for by a team that have a genuine love and care for the safety and comfortability of my daughters time at nursery

I think the previous review is unfair, and the Ofsted was also unfair. As a previous education consultant and assistant head teacher I have been happy with the care that my son receives. I would recommend little Wellingtons as a place where they really care about the children.

My son attended this preschool for 9 months to start off I thought they were really good???
My son has speech and language issues and they did not have the sufficient skills to deal with his education needs!
Rather then help and support him they would just put him in time out or leave him in a separate room from the other children !!!
We had no other choice but to remove him from this pre-school after we found out that they're OFSTED report was(4)inadequate !!!
