Our story began in 1888, when Charles Larking bought a small Norwich accountancy practice. His sons joined as partners and the firm became Larking & Larking. In 1969, Larking & Larking merged with Harman & Gowen, another well-established Norfolk accountant that had been founded in 1906. The newly formed Larking & Gowen quickly grew, setting up several specialist departments and establishing nine offices throughout East Anglia.
Choosing the right accounting software for your business can save you time and help streamline the way you manage your accounts. At Larking Gowen, we can advise you on what accounting software best suits your needs, whether it's a desktop or online accounting package. We'll help you choose a service that's right for you, and give you full support once it's in place.
QuickBooks Online is a leading digital accountancy software package that will bring all your accountancy requirements together in one place. It's easy to use and gets rid of the need for spreadsheets and paperwork, saving you time and improving efficiency. QuickBooks can raise invoices, track unpaid invoices, manage VAT payments and expenses and automatically download bank transactions so you'll know exactly where your finances stand.

Sent myself a welcome letter detailing who they were, what they done, how they could help my new business etc. Called to arrange a meeting to discuss requirements further. I got a very under qualified receptionist whom was most unprofessional in her telephone manner, more interested in laughing with her colleagues than doing her actual job. Didn't… seem to know what to do with my query inregards to speaking to an actual accountant. Said she would get someone to call me back as soon as possible. This was 29th June @13:56. It's now the 21st July. Still no phonecall back. Couldn't recommend

I am really impressed by this firm and how they go the extra mile to help small businesses grow. The company hosts meetings and seminars. The manager I am in contact with, Glenn, goes out of his way to attend these meetings, gives short presentations and then listen carefully and offer advice. Top notch.
