Osteopathy is an established, recognised system of diagnosis and treatment that lays its main emphasis on the structural integrity of the body. It is distinctive in the fact that it recognises much of the pain and disability we suffer stems from abnormalities in the function of the body structure as well as damage caused to it by disease.
If you have been suffering from tendon pain in your Achilles, knee, elbow, foot or shoulder for a long period of time and haven't been able to find relief from various forms of treatment, then this innovative type of treatment may be of benefit. Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) is a non-invasive treatment performed with a hand-held device that creates high-energy sound waves (or pressure waves), transmitted to the injured tissue to provide pain relief.
As with any form of healthcare; prevention is always better than cure. This especially applies to avoiding back, neck, shoulder, knee, hip, ankle injury etc, so why not learn Pilates with Rick your registered Osteopath. Rick is a fully qualified Mat Based Pilates instructor with over 10 years experience.
Did you know Rick has over 18 years experience as a sports massage therapist. Rick qualified from the London School of Sports Massage in 1997. Rick has been lecturing in sports and remedial massage for over 10 years. Rick began his lecturing with the Oxford School of Sports Massage and is currently lecturing with the Cambridge School of Sports Massage on the Level 5 B.T.E.C Diploma course.
Dry needling is a Western form of Acupuncture based on the West's knowledge of anatomy. There is no Eastern philosophy of Ying/Yang or the description of the flow of energy, that's not to say they are wrong. It is just we use other rationales to justify our treatment protocol. Dry needling involves fine needles being inserted through the skin and briefly left in position.

I have fairly recently discovered Rick and I am SO glad I did. I don't have any significant issues, a sore back from carrying a 2 year old and bending over during work. However, Rick has made my headaches go away and eased my pain. He is so friendly yet very professional. I'd highly recommend Rick to anyone considering Osteopathy.
