We have offices in Rugby and Northampton and provide representation at police stations and courts primarily in Rugby, Leamington Spa, Nuneaton, Northampton, Daventry, Wellingborough, Kettering and Corby. Established in 1986 and quality audited by the Legal Aid Agency we know how to look after your best interests throughout the criminal justice system.

We have been entrusted to represent clients charged with careless driving through to murder. We undertake legal aid work and privately funded cases. Whatever your case we are able to assist you. We have acted for members of one of the largest Trade Unions whose members are often at risk of losing not just their licences but also their jobs.
Services
Stephen Moore & Co are criminal law specialists with both experience and the energy of youth in our firm so you can be sure that we know what to do and how to do it, to get the best outcome for you. We are quality assured by the Legal Aid Agency and have been awarded contracts for many years by them allowing us to provide publicly funded representation.
Penalty point disqualification (12 points or more and you will be disqualified unless the court finds special reasons/ exceptional hardship not to do so.) We are able to help you apply for Legal Aid in motoring cases before the Magistrates Court, but in some motoring cases which can only be dealt with before the Magistrates Court it is unlikely Legal Aid will be granted.
We can assist and represent you on Trade Description Act offences, breaches of Food Hygiene Regulations and Environmental Law including noise nuisance. We have defended clients before the courts for creating too much noise in a residential area, another of selling counterfeit recordings, as well as food outlets accused of not being compliant with food Hygiene Regulations.
The majority of cases will start at the Police Station. People will either find themselves being arrested and taken to a police station for interview or being asked to attend on a voluntary basis. The presence of a solicitor in no way reflects on your guilt or innocence and what happens at the police station can have a critical bearing on the ultimate outcome of the case.
If you have been charged or had a postal requisition with an offence then your first appearance will always be at the Magistrates Court no matter how serious the charge. All of the advocates at Stephen Moore & Co are highly experienced at representing people at the Magistrates Court and will fight for the best possible outcome for you every step of the way.

I found Ben Brown to be an honest and open solicitor (!), looked after me all the way thru my "ordeal". He kept me well informed at all stages, with excellent advise. Because of this I got a very lenient ban (only 14 days), and kept my job! Worth every penny I paid.

Had a one hour consultation with Stuart Jeffery regarding a motoring charge. Stuart provided some excellent advice and even advised on how to word my response. Got 6 points when I was probably looking at disqualification. Excellent solicitor.
