Powerflush
Radiators are cold because they contain dirty water and are clogged up with corrosion debris. In this state the heating system burns a lot more fuel as it struggles to heat the home. Boilers make loud banging noises called "kettling" because corrosion debris blocks and damages the heat exchanger. Blockages reduce circulation causing boilers to overheat and cut out.

Hot water fluctuates hot and cold due to corrosion debris in the combi boiler domestic heat exchanger. Flow reduce to a trickle due to limescale. If the problem is left too long the domestic heat exchanger may need to be replaced. If radiators are stone cold then corrosion debris maybe blocking radiator pipes and the sooner the system is powerflushed the better before blockages become permanent and need to be cut out.
Services
Radiators rust internally producing black iron oxide 'sludge'. This sludge moves around the central heating system, blocking pipes, valves and boilers (pumps/heat exchangers/diverter valves). For minimal disturbance normally set up outside your home, with our equipment. Our engineer will attach a powerful magnet filter to the pipe work system by removing the circulatory pump or a radiator (no other radiators are disconnected from the system).
When you require a call-out or repair under your boiler warranty, your cover provider may ask to see your Powerflush Certificate before authorising work. Simply log in here, using your invoice number and postcode to print or download a copy of your certificate so that you can instantly confirm that your heating system has been professionally cleaned and authorise their engineer to attend without delay.
If the system has been looked after with inhibitor being topped up yearly, most systems only need powerflushing every 5-6 years. Certain systems have design faults that can cause air to be drawing resulting on the system corroding faster therefore needing more frequent flushing. Unless otherwise agreed our Engineers arrive and start at 8.00am.
Modern efficient boilers have much smaller components then traditional designs (passageway diameter in boiler heat exchangers used to be up to 1cm and can now be 1mm). This means they are very sensitive to anything that could cause a blockage. If a failure occurs where sludge or debris is found present in the new boiler the manufacturers warranty will usually be cancelled.
Hard water contains calcium and magnesium ions and when hard water is heated these salts form as hard scale inside hot water appliances and adjoining pipe-work. The build up of scale will continue as more and more calcium is deposited and will this lead to blocked hot water heat exchangers in Combination Boilers.

Got a power flush by this company. Firstly: "why so expensive?" secondly: it was not done properly and my insurance company refused to cover my system in future unless, I had it done by another company correctly. So I pay twice!?
