We have a strong depth of experience and qualification at Abbotswood from the Nursery Manager who holds a Level 5 Foundation Degree in Early Years and who is also new to motherhood, enabling her to understand how our parents may be feeling when they first come to see our setting.

Here, at Abbotswood Day Nursery, we are aware that keeping our children and staff hydrated will aid them to perform at their very best throughout the day. Our unique relationship with AquAid has also given our Nursery the opportunity to help those less fortunate than ourselves, because with each purchase an automatic donation is made to the Africa Trust.
Central to the property, the smells of a great kitchen emanate throughout feeding the senses and often begging the question of what might be for lunch today! Our experienced Cook operates a four weekly rotational and seasonal menu. We follow guidelines and ideas from The Children's Food Trust, ensuring low sugar and salt recipes to produce a nutritionally balanced diet for your child.
When your child starts at the nursery the staff will have an in-depth conversation with you about your child's routine. In the baby room we very much follow the children's home routine in regard to sleeps, bottles, needs and interest, but we do have a general. Breakfast is accessible to the children from 8.00 until 8.45 they can choose from a range of cereals, toast, bagels and crumpets.
Freedom is one of the most important skills in life, this is a skill we can not teach. Freedom allows children to create their own activities, solve their own problems, make friends, manage emotions and interact with their peers.
We have a main toddler room where the children have access to a construction area, maths corner, a role play area that is changed weekly for the children to grow their imagination and a cosy den to read stories and have some quiet time.The toddler room has a separate arts and crafts room where the children can get messy and explore their creative side.

Our Preschool are in our Adventure marquee at the moment with the Adventure Lodge on its way. We aim to take your child on a learning adventure proving experiences that make play and learning fun and exciting, fostering a love to learn. We want to provide opportunities for children to learn about assessing and experiencing risk, challenge ideas and realise their potential.

I provided Abbotswood with a temporary reface of their current signage until they get nice new signage in the near future and were easy to work with, excellent communication, friendly and beautiful staff and setting.
Side note, seeing the kids playing in the outdoor area with the teachers and looks like a great place to send your children (if local!)

Such a wonderful company!
They were our first client we supplied children's outdoor furniture to, a bespoke preschool mud kitchen with island table and toddlers hut, completely designed and built to order.
The staff were so welcoming when we arrived on site, took us through all the safety information and got us set up where we would be working and installing.
Everyone was very friendly, they were great at fencing off our area to keep the kids at a safe distance and then feeding back to us after we left on how the children and staff liked the results.
We're very much looking forward to working

Today is my daughter’s last day in Abbotswood Nursery, she loves all the staff here and will miss all her teachers and little friends. The nursery is fantastic, got yummy lunch and also lots of outdoor space.… My daughter learned numbers, months, making little art works, song& dancing of course, pretending games, etc. She never complained about going to nursery too which is a good sign. Big thank you to Verity, Megan and Anthony, you guys are Lily’s favourites and she will always remember you! 😊

Wow what can I say this nursery is AMAZING my son absolutely loves it here! The focus on outdoor play is perfect for him as he loves to be outside, the staff are amazing as are the activities the children do. My son joined in July so at a really difficult time with lots of restrictions in place and after not being at nursery for 3 months, but the transition was handled so well he settled in really quickly. Thank you!

My daughter has been going since January 2017 and it is an absolutely fantastic setting. They have been amazing with her and she's flourishing. Every single staff member I've interacted with has been welcoming and friendly and my daughter speaks about the staff at home.

My partner and I, cannot rate this nursery high enough! It is absolutely fabulous! All staff (despite whichever room they work in), know our daughter, and they spend their utmost time ensuring she is developing as she should, and making sure that we are happy.
They do so much more than the local 'commercialised' nurseries, and it is clear that they focus on the comfort and happiness of the children! Their safeguarding procedures are to the highest standard and their facilities and staff are friendly and homely.

My son and I love this nursery and all it’s staff. Before starting my 2 year old son had never been away from me for longer than a few hours but he felt so at home at his first settling in session that he fell asleep! The staff are simply wonderful and always go over and above for us, especially when it comes to catering for his multiple food allergies which is such a weight off my mind. I can’t recommend this nursery enough!
