This 18th Century Georgian Town House is believed to have been built as a Dower House for a local wealthy family. Now, fully restored and adapted for use as a small hotel, Bishopsgate House Hotel provides an ideal opportunity for holidaymakers and business people to relax and be pampered in comfort; enjoying delicious freshly prepared food, elegant rooms and friendly hospitality.
Many items of antique furniture, as well as collections of glass and china adorn the hallways and landing. Perhaps the most important original feature of the house is the Chinese Chippendale staircase, believed to be one of the finest in the country. Beaumaris Pier overlooking the Menai Straits & Snowdonia.

In our AA Rosette awarded restaurant, all meals are freshly prepared by our Chefs, using local produce wherever possible. Two menus provide a wide choice, including fresh local Fish, succulent Welsh Lamb, Welsh Beef and Gressingham Duck. The number of local people, who regularly use the restaurant, bear witness to the quality and value for money provided.
In addition to providing excellent meals in the hotel, our rosette awarded Chefs also offer the same high standards in your home, office or function room. Menus should be used as a guide as all catering is bespoke to suit individual requirements. We booked a meal for 4 ,
This place is expensive so we were looking forward to it .
Sadly it didn’t live up to much
3 Turkey dinners little gravy , no mashed potatoes, no cranberry sauce , the Turkey was awful, fatty and boney so much so that my partner ate 3 roast potatoes as the rest wasn’t up to anything even the veg was hard.
All in all a simple but expensive meal turned out to be a poor example.Just no atmosphere as well . Very boring to be truthful.
If this place wants people to return then get it right it’s as simple as that.
All 3 of us can’t be wrong.
Very poor we won’t

The town of Beaumaris is very pretty with lots of quaint shops, all beautifully decorated for Christmas. Bishopsgate hotel is situated on the Main Street yet next to the sea , perfect for lovely walks and visiting the castle. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the rooms are a little dated but bedding was beautifully clean and bathroom had bath/shower which was lovely to have a soak after our 9mile walk earlier. Parking is available at the rear of the hotel. We had a Travelzoo voucher, which included a contribution towards the evening meal. Usually we tend to choose a local restaurant when going away

We were seeking a dog friendly hotel - Bishopsgate House is definitely that. The hotel does limit the numbers of dogs staying on any night however that is sensible. The room was spacious with a large bathroom which helped give our dog some space. Having a room on the top floor wasnt great for the dog however that wasnt the fault of the hotel though if stairs are an issue this should be noted. We could also eat in the bar, which was again comfortable and spacious for our dog. Lovely food. The staff were great and were also very dog friendly - special call out for Amy who gave our puppy loads of

Right in the heart of a beautiful seaside village. Parking space for our motorbike at the back of the hotel. We stayed in the deluxe bedroom which was large and had comfortably 4 poster bed.from our bedroom you could see the small pier ,the sea and the mountains beyond. Breakfast was varied.on the menu you could have for example full welsh, croissants or smoked haddock and evening meals were of a very good standard and reasonable. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I would definitely use this hotel again.
