We stayed in the Maxwell cabins for 5 nights. Cabins were very well equipped that included a washing machine and dishwasher. WiFi was a bit ropey at times and TV pixelated at times. Beds were a big and soft. Plenty of drawers for storage.
The big negative for me was the sofa and chair in the lounge area. We just couldn't get comfortable as there was no support in the seats and very difficult to get out of due to them being so soft and really need to be replaced.
We ate in the courtyard restaurant on site one evening. Good selection of choices and the food was very well presented and tasty. Friendly

On day trip in the car, we stopped here for a break. The shop was well stocked with local produce and also had a good stock of wines, beers and spirits. There was a display of clothing available for purchase. The next door lounge bar had food available in addition to drinks in the outdoor covered area.

I recently enjoyed several visits here during a short break in Perthshire. The food was delicious and well presented whether you ordered a simple macaroni or one of the specials. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made guests feel welcome. The relaxed ambience and warmth from the wood fire make it an ideal place to chillout. If you can ditch the car the local beers and a good whisky selection are worth sampling.
The service can be a little erratic, even when not very busy, on one visit we waited over 20mins for a coffee. However, the coffee is really good so it was worth the wait
