Really disappointed with la used to use them all the time and the app was really good. I pre booked a taxi for it to turn up within minutes even though I had booked it for a later time. I choose the card payment option and set up google pay which I thought was good and worked similar to uber. However at the end of the journey the taxi driver told me I hadn't paid and I gave him cash to then get a notification on my phone to say money had been taken so I was charged twice. I rang the office straight away to be told to email the complaints department when really the driver should have called and

This company used to be good prior to it being under new management. Since the new owner bought it in 2019, it's went to the dogs. Taxis regularly, either are late or don't turn up at all. Now the money orientated company have had the cheek to put on 30p charge for every traffic light stop which is on top of the 20p normal meter charge. It now costs about £4.50 for a 2 minute journey. They never even have the courtesy to reply to emails.

We used LA taxi yesterday via booking through the app which was so easy. The experience was the best taxi service we have ever had and it was new years eve. Taxis arrived bang on time we had 3 journeys over the day - all the drivers were lovely guys. Taxis were perfect size of family of 5. Plenty of space and for pushchair. We had booked a taxi for our teenager and her friends to be picked up much later and there was a mix up with another teen jumping in their taxi. We rang up and LA saved the day sent another taxi for them really quickly and kept us updated during the journey. To be honest the

Have been working early the last few weeks and using LA Taxis
My advice...if you want a nice, easy, stress free morning and arrive where you're going on time...get up half an hour earlier and get the bus in the cold because this company is worse than useless
Apparently their new booking system just books endless pickups regatdless of how many drivers are on the road

Not worth 1 star but no choice!
Pre booked taxis for 2 people with limited mobility, return taxi did not turn up (we were outside waiting in the pouring rain) message to say the taxi had arrived, got soaked looking for taxi that was not there. Rang the firm and on hold for 55mins, no help at all as fit no answer. Left at the venue at 23.05 wet cold and had to walk over a mile in the rain which took until 23.55. Shocking service! Use at you peril, automated service!

Automated system is a joke. Gave location for picking us up and when the taxi apparently arrived it had gone somewhere a 10 minute walk away from us. No reply when we tried to clarify location so couldn't actually find it. Tried to book again after walking to a more central area in town and the system said it didn't know where grey street was, absolutely useless, then had an hour wait after we found somewhere it did recognise. All at 3 in the morning trying to get home. Adds another level of stress after a night out getting home safely that is totally unnecessary. Never using them again

Appalling service. Was 45mins late and tried to ring the driver several times. The automated voice message for LA Taxi told me it would be 2mins for over 15mins. Driver didn't even bother to apologise. The app is useless too. Will stick to uber in future as local companies no longer give any sort of service

Critical: Punctuality
Absolutely rubbish. Booked a taxi 12 hours in advance, it never arrived. Waited 30 minutes before I rang up to find out where it was and there wasn't even a driver assigned. What's the point in being able to book in advance if they don't show up? Would never try to use LA Taxi again.

Used to be a brilliant company, fast and reliable. lately, since everything is going back to normal, they either are not available or have excessive wait times from 30-90 mins. I used to go with no one else, even during the pandemic, but now I choose a different company. they need to sort themselves out
