Hi, I would like to introduce myself. I am Fiona McKean, award winning and fully qualified master photographer based in the beautiful town of Dumfries, South West Scotland. For those of you who don't know me I am mum to two gorgeous girls, Heather and Isla, and wife to Darren. For as long as I can remember I have loved looking at photos of my family and friends.
The first few days of baby's life will pass in a haze of feeding, nappies and sleepless nights, your tiny squishy, sleepy, newborn baby will quickly give way to bright eyes, wonderful stories and smiles to melt your heart. These changes and the speed with which they happen make newborn photography so very special.
If you are short on time, would prefer an all inclusive price or have missed the window for a Signature Newborn Session then a short and sweet mini newborn session is perfect for you! This simple session will take place in my photography studio in Dumfries, is all about baby and does not include any parent, sibling or prop shots.

From the early stages of our booking Fiona's communication was fantastic. We were scheduled to have a newborn session in June, but with lockdown in place, our session took place when our son was 12 weeks. Fiona was in contact to assure us that our appointment would go ahead when the situation allowed for her to work. She phoned us when the studio reopened and was very accommodating of my partner's work schedule when booking our slot.

I am saddened to have to write this review and have held it off for a while. I can see fiona has lots of 5 star ratings but sadly hasn't been the case for us. We had a photoshoot with her of my little girl at the start of october last year. Fiona seemed very nice and friendly and told us what to do with our little girl and she thoroughly enjoyed it. We had went back two weeks later to chose our photos, we had chose a digital packages to suit our needs and fiona had stated it would be around 10 days to receive digital back. A good 2-3 weeks had passed and I had messaged fiona regarding not receiving

Fantastic experience. My wife and I were thrilled with our images. Highly recommended. No pressure to purchase - but they were so beautiful we bought loads. We received our voucher from a exhibition and so glad we took up the offer. Great value for money - the quality of our wall portraits hanging look fantastic. JUST DO IT!!!

Having seen photos from family members I decided to get my second son little cherubs photo shoot done here....very disappointed! Have no photos from his shoot, there was no communication from Fiona, sent emails, texts and calls to which no reply! Thought got somewhere when my husband went to see her but again was left disappointed and wasn't until another family member got in touch with her that she actually responded. We were given our money back but no photos from our sons photo shoot! Not very professional!! After our experience we wouldn't recommend!
