At Jamie Pugh Dental Healthcare we offer dentistry with a difference, where we will offer you a warm and friendly welcome when you visit, and work with you, in partnership, to help you smile with confidence. We pride ourselves on the excellent relationships we have with our patients-all of them call us by our first names, and know that we will take time to listen to any concerns they may have and try our utmost to help.
All our dentists adhere to the strict guidelines governing the profession under strict guidance from the General Dental Council (GDC) "Standards for Dental Professionals". Jamie qualified from Cardiff Dental School in 1996. Following completing his Vocational Training in a practice in Cardiff he did jobs in hospital in oral surgery and practices in Swansea and Aberdare before opening his own practice in Aberdare in 2001.
We are always delighted to welcome new patients to our practice and you will receive a warm and friendly reception from our team. At this visit we will take all medical details and discuss with you any concerns you may have about the health and appearance of your mouth, teeth and gums. We will then carry out a thorough examination of your jaw joints, all the soft tissues in your mouth, your teeth and gums.
Cfast labial is an innovative cosmetic orthodontic procedure that straightens the front teeth, producing aesthetic results in as few as 8 weeks at an affordable price for you. It is not a replacement for conventional orthodontic treatment, but is aimed at the "social 6," involving simple corrections that can be carried out easily by your accredited Cfast dentist.
In today's world, very few of us have the time to come to visit the dentist for multiple appointments to receive dental treatment. The more can be done in one visit, the better for those with demanding schedules. At the same time, sitting for hours in a dental chair is not ideal either. One solution to this is called CEREC, a state-of-the-art machine that can make permanent crowns, veneers or onlays for you while you are still in the chair.

My granddaughter used to use this dental practice. I found the dentist she saw at her last very rude and unhelpful. He inferred that I lied when I explained that she brushed her teeth regularly. I actually stood over her as she did. If he had explained that she had not brushed efficiently I would have been happy to take his advice. She attends a different dentist now who has been very helpful and far more tactful.
