SHERWOOD TRAVEL, formerly known as "OAKLANDS of IMMINGHAM", has been established as a tour and travel operator in the North East Lincolnshire area for over 50 years and has served both the local and industrial community. Initially offering taxi services from the busy Humber port of IMMINGHAM DOCK and the local community we have expanded to offer day trips and holidays across the UK.
We offer a personal service for all occasions. If you are going out for a special occasion such as a wedding or a birthday, having a night out, or you need local travel we are on hand to drive you. We are well experienced in providing travel arrangements for weddings, post and pre-wedding parties for both bride and groom, we even add ribbons to our vehicles so they look the part too.
We have held a number of commercial accounts for a number of years, we have held onto these accounts as we provide an exceptional level of service to local businesses. With a number of large firms operating from Immingham Dock, we provide private hire for some of these firms delivering a variety of people from staff for the ships through to high-value clients for the industrial businesses.
More than 15 years ago we were asked by parent association members, for Caistor Grammar School, then the Vale Academy of Brigg, to operate a school bus service from the villages of North Lincolnshire, throughout the school terms. This ensured parents had a prompt timetabled service, that not only met the needs of aspiring scholars, whilst also freeing up the parents/guardians time travelling to/from these chosen schools.
