I sympathise with my more shy subjects as I have always felt more comfortable behind the lens, rather than in front of it, since I got my first camera at the age of eight! After completing a BA Hons degree at the University of Plymouth in 2003, I went on to launch Ruth Garner Photography.
Since then I have witnessed hundreds of weddings, photographed newborns and families, and shot photographic assignments throughout the UK and all over the world.I have built a reputation for having an acute attention to detail, fantastic service and a love of my clients. My belief is that your wedding day will pass you by in such a flash that you should only be concerned with having a good time.

I usually head for the great outdoors to capture natural, as-it-happens photos. I also have a 'mobile studio' so I can also capture studio-style images in the comfort of your own home.

We loved having Ruth as our wedding photographer! She (ably assisted by an experienced 2nd photographer) captured the day beautifully without getting in the way. We were able to enjoy the day in full confidence that it was all being captured for our future enjoyment. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ruth.

As myself and my wife had been married before we were unsure as to whether to bother with having a photographer this time?.
We selected Ruth Garner Photography from a list on the google website. Upon meeting Ruth one evening to discuss what we were looking for we instantly knew that we had made a wonderful choice. Ruth listened to our requirements and the venue which was in the centre of Bristol.
