We rented with Squarefoot for a couple of years and had our faith restored in estate agents. Tara and the team are real professionals who responded quickly to any issues we had with the property. They were very accommodating regarding contract renewal, and we felt respected as tenants throughout the tenancy. The inventory was handled by third party clerks and the deposit was returned fairly.

We rented a property for 3 years from Squarefoot until 2015.
Generally they left us to our own devices (FYI landlords: if they are billing you for regular inspections you are being ripped off, because they barely ever happened when we were tenants in a managed property). However, when problems did arise they turned into the kind of agent who has no issues with gaslighting tenants.
The biggest issue we had with them was at the end, when they allowed the landlord to try and move someone in a day early (we were shifting our final bits and in the middle of deep cleaning when new tenants turned up

Overall their service was good throughout my 2 year tenancy, however on occasion there were some emails which didn't have the best tone. I'm also a bit disappointed that upon leaving the flat I had a year of scaffolding on, they've charged us £220 for cleaning through a third party. Wiping down water marks on shower screens do not cost £20. I won't be using agencies going forward as it appears they accept anything a cleaning company tries to fob the customer off with. A shame really as up until then the ladies at the estate agents had been relatively helpful.

Have had a great experience with the Canton office. Olivia showed me around and dealt with any queries in a very professional and friendly manner. We had an issue with our breakfast bar stools after we moved in and they were rapidly replaced for us with no issues. Never had a bad experience so very much recommended.

I cannot recommend this estate agents more! Having put my property up for sale at the beginning of the year, the whole house moving process was made rather more complicated by Corona and lockdown. However, their communication and assistance was 5 star!! I wouldn't say 'despite corona' - their communication was just excellent.
Special mention to Olivia and Tara who were especially patient and empathetic and made the move so much less stressful. They really ensured that my relationship with my buyer was excellent and this really smoothed the whole process.
I wish I could give you 6 stars!

Squarefoot have been the best letting agent we have ever used! We rent a property managed by them and they are very professional and efficient. They always keep us informed and always swiftly deal with any issues we have. I would recommend (and have already recommend to friends) using them if you are based in Cardiff.
