Headlands Garage was set up by Mike Deely in 2004, just off junction 7 of the A14/A6003 and we serve Kettering and its surrounding areas. We're an independent, family business and over the years we have gained a reputation for very high standards and customer-focused, friendly service.

Our extensive range of services include car, minibus and motorhome servicing and repairs, MOTs, advanced engine diagnostics, fleet maintenance, vehicle recovery and vehicle hire.All our work is estimated up-front and backed by a 12,000 mile/12 month parts and labour warranty, giving our customers unrivalled peace of mind which is at the heart of everything we do.

We carry out driving tests, approve people to be driving instructors and MOT testers, carry out tests to make sure lorries and buses are safe to drive, carry out roadside checks on drivers and vehicles, and monitor vehicle recalls. DVSA is an executive agency, sponsored by the Department for Transport.

We appreciate that vehicle repair bills can often be unexpected, so we are pleased to offer our customers an option to pay through Payment Assist - a simple-to-arrange short term, no hidden charges and interest-free loan to customers. You are charged 100 (on a debit card) at the time the loan is agreed and a further three 100 instalments on the same date of each of the following three months (or nearest working day).

Almost every car on the road today has an air conditioning system. However, many of them no longer work or don't work as efficiently as they did when they were new. We will be happy to inspect, service, recharge and / or repair your car's air conditioning system and make it as good as new. We can even conduct a full antibacterial duct cleaning to get rid of the 'musty' smell that is so common in cars that are more than a few years old.

You must be very careful when handling a car battery, as they are heavy and contain sulphuric acid, which is highly corrosive and must not come in contact with your skin or eyes. Most modern car batteries carry a performance indicator and are maintenance free so there are generally no physical checks you can perform yourself, except to make sure that the terminal connections are tight and not corroded.
