Andrew qualified in 1989 with Baker Tilly, London. He spent 12 years practising in Mayfair; six as a partner at Thompson Taraz specialising in commercial property transactions and tax-efficient investment schemes. Andrew founded his own practice, 'Stanes Rand', in central Cambridge in 2001. Following collaboration with former firm, Thompson Taraz, Stanes Rand rebranded in 2016 to become Thompson Taraz Rand.

I and my company have been with Thompson Taraz Rand, previously Stanes Rand for some 20 years. I can't imagine a better service. Initially I dealt with Andrew Rand and these days Craig Lockley who really knows his stuff and is so helpful. I get full attention and fast responses to queries even though my company is very small and I'm sure they have bigger clients. James Dogget does our R&D claims. This company have more than earned their fees over the years and I would totally recommend them for any company large or small.
