St Cecilia
St Cecilia has specialised in the care of residents with dementia from Poole and Bournemouth since 1988. It is a family-run home which welcomes both private and local authority- funded residents. St Cecilia is a detached Edwardian Family House in peaceful, tree-lined residential setting, just a few minutes walk from Westbourne, convenient for Poole and Bournemouth.

Our objective is to provide a comfortable, healthy and stimulating home environment, for a small group of elderly people who are, for various reasons, unable to maintain themselves independently in their own homes. We are committed to the highest standards in quality-controlled residential care, where the interests of the residents are paramount.
Services
We encourage residents to bring with them any treasured personal belongings, whether pictures, items of furniture or even football scarves. Families and friends can help by providing any objects which reassure our residents or connect them with their past. The family-oriented atmosphere at St Cecilia encourages all of our carers to be familiar with the personal preferences of each resident.
I wanted to found a small, friendly care home, where people with dementia could feel safe, understood, well cared-for and content. I wanted families and friends of our residents to be relieved of the high pressures of day-to-day care, knowing that their loved ones were receiving the best of care from St. Cecilia.
Our carers are our most valuable asset in ensuring the highest possible quality of life for residents. It takes a very special person to work with people who have Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. They must show kindness, patience and understanding at all times. As well as being naturally caring people, they must have a high level of training to underpin their practice.
What are the fees at St. Cecilia? The fees start at 975 per week, subject to assessed needs. Care fees are all-inclusive - no extra charges are made for activities, laundry, administration of medication, chiropody, hairdressing or toiletries. 2. What do residents need to bring with them? Our residents may furnish their room as they choose.

What a great home, looked after my grandfather for almost two years before he passed away last October. Every time I vististed, the atmosphere was great, staff so kind and residents were so happy. Definitely recommend for your loved ones.
