Established by Vicki Luckhurst 30 years ago, Directors has become one of the most trusted and credible hair and beauty salons in Kent. Vicki first started her career in 1980 after launching her first beauty business. Her vision and passion evolved into hair design, after acquiring The Hair Do, Penenden Heath in 1990.

I have been going to Ashley for my cut and colour for years and honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else (I have even travelled from Surrey just to see him!) Every time I visit the salon he has great suggestions about how to colour and style my hair (including today, photo below) I trust him to always make me feel fabulous! Would recommend 100%.

Emily was an absolutely fantastic stylist. She was welcoming, understanding and full of good ideas. She just seemed to intuitively know what I needed (more than I did myself!)
I didn’t feel rushed, there was no forced conversation and having been quite poorly with COVID, I left feeling like a new person! I can’t rate Emily and Directors highly enough.

Would 100% recommend a visit to this lovely salon. Ashley exceeded all expectations when it came to colouring my hair, He went above and beyond to squeeze me in for an appointment before a wedding and I am so so pleased with the results. Honestly this guy is a hair god!!

After debating it for a while I decided to cut my hair short. Ashley listened to what I wanted and gave me a lovely cut. I absolutely love my short hair and will not be growing it again. I loved that I walked out of the salon with a huge confidence boost thanks to Ashley.

My first visit to the salon today, and the experience was amazing! Ashley was so friendly and made me feel comfortable right from the start. He did an absolutely amazing job on my previously home coloured hair. I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted other than to disguise those pesky grey hairs and his recommendations were fab! So so pleased with the outcome.. very ashamed to post the before picture but it was such a transformation I couldn’t not! Left the salon feeling pampered and like a million dollars! Already booked my next appointment with Ashley and can’t wait!

Today Ashley dyed my hair, the experience was very professional. I am extremely happy with the end result, he did an amazing job, making sure it was exactly what I wanted. This was my first haircut in over a year. Ashley created a great short style which really suits me, and my family and friends all like it. It has a contemporary feel, and is also suitable for my age. The salon is spacious and light, and is welcoming and relaxing, and the team are very professional. You feel you're in good hands. This was a really positive experience for me, and I certainly recommend it!
