Services
Broadoak Building Company is an experienced and popular building company based in West Sussex. Working with clients at their homes and properties across the West Sussex region, we build characterful houses from the ground up, convert and extend existing properties and refurbish buildings to greatly improve upon them, both visually and in terms of practical usage.
Broadoak Building Company is a professional provider of building services across the West Sussex region. From custom building a bespoke, timber frame building (ranging from a treehouse to an oak garage or conservatory) to converting a rundown barn into a characterful home or building a new house from the ground up, Broadoak Building Company will ensure that your requirements are met with care and precision.
A house extension is a big project to undertake and is one that you want to get right from the very beginning. Broadoak Building Company has extended all types of properties, from new builds, to homes built as far back as the 1920s. Typical extensions can add as much as 50% to the existing structure, so we work with care and precision to make sure that you are going to love your completed build.
The advantage of a new build is that, unlike a house extension, they are generally non-intrusive. Our clients are of course welcome to oversee the building work, but the impact to their daily lives during the building phase is minimal. We work with clients to build homes that are traditional, modern, contemporary, or in some cases, a blend of different styles.
Do you have a home or a property that you are mostly happy with, but you would like to improve upon what is already there? Broadoak Building Company works with residential and commercial clients to maximise the look, feel and usability of the property or building that they own.
Broadoak Building Company can help you with any individual projects that are required during your house or commercial building refurbishment, or we can provide a full project managed renovation service whereby we manage all aspects of the refurbishment. If you are short on time and require the job to be completed to a high quality, with minimum involvement from yourself, this can be an ideal solution.

We have used Broadoak Builders for a few different building projects over several years now, and this speaks for itself, as we find them to be reliable, open and courteous, and are extremely happy with their work. The standard is high and completed on time. Glynn and his team are easy to work with, amenable and will always communicate well. The team work hard and the site is left tidy, with any issues being dealt with swiftly to our satisfaction. We were particularly delighted with our beautiful barn conversion completed by Broadoak in 2013 which is much admired. More recently they have worked

Broadoak Buliders converted a Barn for us on the outskirts of Storrington.
The whole project took 15 months from start to finish and was finished on time and on budget. We were delighted with the quality of the workmanship. The build took place between 2008 and 2010
Since then they have been always available for additional work and recently (2016) completed another small extension to our barn. coming in under budget.
The attention to details and solid advice were great and we would recommend them to anyone looking to do conversions or specialist building works

Very bad experience that we tried to resolve through mediation after an unexpected bill for £28,000 6 months after the build had finished. The builder was inflexible that we found very frustrating, especially as he accepted his accounts were a major factor in creating these issues, although there were also quality issues too. For clarity our property is the brand new house plastered all over his website, that we have asked to be removed, but still adorns most pages. To be fair (as we are) the build did start well, but also finished extremely badly and as he/Broadoak is not part of any trade body
